Brutal schedule’s

I just looked at Miller’s schedule and it is rough.

@Strafford
@Webb City
South Calloway
El Dorado Springs
Blue Eye
Ash Grove
Carthage Tournament
Walnut Grove Tourament.

Miller can handle anything that comes at them. When do they play Strafford?

Rolla plays Jeff City first game and then plays Ozark the next night to start the season off. They also picked up Poplar bluff and a new tourney at Lutheran St. Charles. They are in the Kickapoo tourney which added IWA and is loaded from top to bottom. I think they also added Rock Bridge to their home tourney. Rolla will play several of the top 10, 6a teams this year. I would think IWA, Jeff, Rock Bridge, Kickapoo, Ozark, and Republic could be in the rankings maybe more?

Poplar, like the tree. Not sure you can include Poplar Bluff as one of the tougher opponents this season. They lost a lot of fire power from last year.

Rolla has lots of games with hour to hour and a half drives. Out of the 9 other conference schools only Waynesville is under an hour drive from Rolla. Just not a lot of bigger schools anywhere close to Rolla.

Really did not know much about them but saw they had a good record last year? Thanks for the information.

They lost the P.B. girls all time leading scorer, Kiley Bess, who signed at SLU, plus a 3 or 4 other seniors that started or played big minutes.

Their schedule just got more brutal. They play Webb City and Kickapoo in the Carthage Tournament.

What I’ve read on Webb is that they are supposed to be pretty good. When you play up 2-3 classes I would consider that a tough game. Maybe not a tough game for Ozark or Nixa but for Miller yeah. When I say Brutal schedule I was meaning for a Class 2 school. It obviously is not brutal compared to Kickapoo or other big schools.

Lebanon High is exactly 60 miles from Rolla High. But I see your point.
West Plains is in the same boat for every sport.
Rolla is 99 miles from West Plains and every other school in the OC is 100+ miles.
West Plains girls should enjoy another good year.
their only regular season loss last year was to Fort Smith Northside by 6 points I think?
then lost to CJ in district Championship by 8.

look forward to seeing the OC girls basketball this year. Should be very competitive in the top 3-4 teams.

I thought it was. I was actually there, it was played at Ozark. Maxpreps shows district games has playoff games so I just had to guess. West Plains must’ve had a first round bye in districts then.

I’m not complaining. This is just the toughest one Miller has ever had. Only having 7 girls out makes it a little tougher. They should be competitive in all of them except maybe Kickapoo. I saw they beat Thayer earlier this week 69-19.
