There you go Ducky. A Reynolds clone to split time with him at 1B and let Piscotty can go back to the OF. Go ahead and order those WS tickets. ;)

.217 hitter with a negative WAR
His BA and OBP have regressed three straight years. I will root for whomever they trade for, but I don't have goose bumps. The dudes on MLB who know more than anyone on this thread say Cleveland destroyed Mo on this trade.

Very few times has Mo been destroyed on a deal. He usually at least breaks even. On the outside this does look like a potential loser. But I'm wondering if the Birds saw something about Kaminsky that gave them doubts. Otherwise it's hard to see giving up a potential LH starter. They're really hard to come by. But, he's still not really proven. It may turn out to not be that bad, IF the change of scenery helps get Moss going a little bit. It does get Piscotty off 1B and back in the OF where he should be more comfortable. Maybe that helps him at the plate too.

Nothing may matter if some other guys don't pick it back up. I certainly don't expect Moss to take over and carry them. Time will tell.

Oooooh the irony.

Here is the thing Kenny. I actually watch the games every single night. I attend games. Most of the fans are like you, they sit there and drink beer and have conversations about everything under the sun except baseball.
The other night I was sitting next to a stranger who was really into the sport and we discussed all kinds of baseball stuff from early 2000s baseball to how Reynolds was positioning his feet while holding on a runner. You see Kenny, I actually know the game, watch MLB network every day and read a ton. Before today I already knew who Brandon Moss was and knew what type of player he has been. Kaminsky is someone I have been very aware of. I didn't just hear about him for the first time today and then try to act like a hotshot. You talking down to me about baseball or football is a freakin joke. I'm not wasting any more of my time with your immature penis length contests. You and Veer can continue toe act like 7th graders. You are a little punk and I will reinstate the setting to ignore you once again on this site.

K rate is a little lower than you'd want, and he's pretty far away from the majors with the standard caveat that pitchers are a higher injury risk.

But, yeah, it seems like a lot to give up for Brandon Moss

Cool. All of that knowledge and you couldn't answer my question as to who they should trade and what they will get in return.

You're worse than the fan in the stands you coaches complain about.

And lastly, stop being so dramatic.

I liked Kaminsky. A lot. Assume Marco and Cooney made him expendable. Like NM said, Kaminsky's K rate is a tad low to view him as a sure thing rotation guy...but dang, still think he brings more than a Moss. Who knows? Moss has some pretty alarming reverse splits going on this year, which either has me thinking he's not seeing the ball really well, or guessing a ton...or both. Just not sure giving up Kaminsky is really worth the one or two wins you might potentially get from Moss.

Take a deeper look at Moss's stats. I think you will find a stark contrast between hitting at Jacobs Field vs on the road.

Mo's getting bashed around by everyone. I bet when the playoffs start we'll look back and say it was at least a decent trade, considering the market and timeframe to pull off a deal.

Timeframe? Adams has been out for two plus months and we weren't hitting prior to that. Mo sat on his hands too long and ended up in a poor leverage situation. Proactive beats reactive every time.

Tomorrow is another day and then you have the waiver period. MO has one more move in him this.

And you still haven't said who they would/should have picked up even if they moved earlier....

MO pretty much hit the nail on the head yesterday. If he doesn't make a move people complain, if he does then they overpayed. It's the same BS every year. People complained non stop last year for shipping Kelly and Craig off. Seems to have worked out alright.

Well, that Astros algorithm isn't what it used to be.

True. But we got Jonathan 5.89 ERA Broxton.. I assume that means Walden must be toast. I guess they don't trust Tuivailala yet. Broxton has given up some long balls.
