Since it looks like Bolivar might be an independent for awhile I wonder if any of us old timers could get this game scheduled after the next two year cycle. This was a great rivalry when I played from 1981-85. I would love to see it come back but I'm getting sentimental in my old age.

I didn't think of that. Are they going to play all conference games and just play a couple of rotating games in the other division?

Ya i think so. I know lamar gets log-rog, hollister and aurora next year. Wonder if we will rotate teams every year or play home and home then switch

Teams will play cross-over games based on 2-year home/away cycle.
Supposedly East vs. West games will be played the week before districts begin to crown an actual conference champion.

The way it was explained to some coaches, Week 9 would reserved for East #1 vs. West #1 and then on down.
One concern was who would host week 9 games and second concern centered on the possibility that teams could play a crossover and then Week 9 and then maybe in districts.
They may have decided against Week 9 "Championship Week"

Just like last year when it had two state champs.

I'm stoked! By Veer logic, Rogersville's now one of the best small school football teams in the state by virtue of their membership in the Big 8 (just like Mizzou in the SEC!)

I would love to see week 9 be 1vs1 2vs2 and so on, but you could see teams play each other 3 times during the season

That was an idea in the beginning and they will do that in some other sports but not football... Football will play three crossover games each season. It will rotate every two years after home and home series.
