Blair Oaks 38 - Seneca 28 (FINAL)

Not at all. Nothing is as you describe it. All I got from this is “it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it”. Go enjoy your win! Unless that’s triggering too!!
You're right. You didn't say Seneca was the better team. I made that up! My bad, Francis.

Play a tough schedule, and risking losing early on is always better than going undefeated against mediocre competition. Every time.
I just think it motivates top programs/teams from the HC and staff down to every single player on the varsity roster. Sharpens focus. I could list so many I've seen just here in Kearney over the years but not gonna turn the thread away from this great game we just witnessed.

Just made it back to St Louis. Great game. From the pressbox my observations from the 2nd half. Blair Oaks made a few shifts on defense to help try and handle Seneca's run game. Additionally, it really looked like quite a few Seneca players ran out of gas. Great game from everyone. Glad it didn't turn into a blood bath and instead kept everyone on the edge of their seat or standing for the entire game.

Have they got to 34 yet?
They didn't but it sure wasn't low scoring was it. Ill take being 6 points off vs others saying 21 point total lol. Some of you will never learn. Where was your pregame prediction? Oh that's right you too scared to put it up.

yes you are
Hey, you and a couple others have been at it all week. All in good fun. BTW I think my prediction was a bit off too. I was thinking it was more of a 7 point game possibly 35-28 or a 28-21 game. Ended up being a 10 point game. I was confident that changes would be made at half time. BO is really good at half time adjustment especially when it comes to their defense. I think it was partially to fatigue though as well. BO had a tough time slowing down Seneca in the first half. It was impressive with an average of over 8 yards on the ground per play by Seneca. Mistakes by BO costed them quite a bit today as well.

Good game. Put it to rest. We have next season and BO will be better than this year. Most of the offense and defense returns.

I always laugh at folks trashing teams that make it this far. This was two elite teams facing off the BO Championship DNA showed out that is all. I'd love to see either in C4 and yes I do believe the Falcons having seen LN would have a shot at a rematch.
💯

A few days late but I was out of town for work. Watched the whole game today .....I saw most of the first half and some of the 4th qtr live . Anyways it was pretty obvious what happened. Seneca plays a bunch of guys both ways including like 3 lineman . Seneca took it to bo in the first half but was gassed late . I don't know that Seneca had a game all year where their starters had to go start to finish . Bo kicked the crap out of Seneca up front in the second half . I also thought Seneca got way too far away from QB power runs and did a bunch of jet sweeps and reverses that lost yards every time . Bo was just too deep for Seneca . Wasnt a skill gap issue just BO was more fresh in the second half

Congrats to Ted Lepage and the Falcons! Scary part is that most of their team is back next year, including their 2 all state RBs that went down in October with season ending injuries. Bax played tough as nails after those boys went down… truly a gritty player.
The Jr Falcons programs are loaded on each grade. They will be good for several years to come.

Right on Que. Blair Oaks not playing 1 kid both ways proved to be the difference in the 2nd half. The reason why they go fast offensively. Fatigue does not show the 1st half, but usually does the 2nd. Hats off to Seneca, but man BO showed out on, especially the D, the 2nd half.

MOST importantly, playing tough games early will actually show the weaknesses of your team and what needs to be improved on. I remember when BO scheduled Valle Catholic at their place on 24 hour notice. They lost that game, but led to them beating LN and CR that year to win the state title.
