At the top
Carl Junction and Lamar have been the cream at the top the last two year. Have heard two different reports on Carl but I still think they can be good. Lamar also should be at the top speed should be a big weapon for them while they might not be as big up front as they have been in the past.
Rounding it out and challenging the leaders.
Aurora Monett & Cassville. Aurora has a lot of talent and just judging by the eye test they look like they could be really good. But with the last minute coaching change it might be a ruff year for houns...
Monett lost a lot of talent from last year team along with two good coaches. But Uhl was with Monett for years before leaving for just one year and he will not be changing much so I look for a smooth transition. Plus this years Junior class has talent to blend with a few good seniors so they could do special things. Just have to wonder if they can put it together this year.
Cassville will be big up front but not sure about the skill positions they will be untested at QB, but they have a very talented young running back coming up.
Dark horse
Mt. Vernon, I think they return 7 on both sides of the ball and they look to be improved Cox is a proven winner as a coach so I think they will be added to last years win total just not sure by how much.
Fighting for respect.
Seneca hard to believe just two years ago they were playing in the Dome, see if they can improve.
East Newton, heard numbers are an issue only had like 18 kids total from freshmen to seniors out but looking to improve on that. Hard to win in class 3 with so little out.
Mac County, see how they can do this first year out, don't know a lot about them but history shows they usually have not fared well against the big 8 schools in the past.
