I understand that they are looking to add Bolivar and a few others so they can create two divisions: Big 8 Classic and Big 8 Small.

Bolivar would of course be placed in Big 8 Small where they'll have a great chance of dominating for 10-15 years.

How are they going to split the COC now that everyone except for Bolivar has vacated the small division? 10 in the large and 7 in the small would have been strange enough, but there's no way they're going to have 10 in the large division and leave Bolivar as the only team in the small division. Carthage gets stuck in the middle

Agree. COC surely drops the large/small and just becomes the 10-team COC when Joplin joins for the 2018 season.

I'd also guess this: Joplin is lucky they got in when they did. Otherwise, with the small COC disbanding, Bolivar may have gotten shifted to the Large as the 10th team and Joplin would've had to stay in the Ozark Conference.

Not sure the Big 8 teams are going to have room to play them...... if the rumored scheduling happens they will not have any open dates either.... as far as the Libs they have no one to blame but themselves

Bolivar submitted an application to the Ozarks Conference. Should know in January if they are approved.

yes, it would be the best for central and everyone else, but it would egg on the face of adm, should have left it alone when they cut them loose in 99

or kick Rolla or West Plains out! Isn't Rolla about as close to the Central Missouri large schools as they are to Springfield and WP?

I would think rolla might be able to go in with the Columbia schools, wp is stuck, they use to be in the sca, but those are mostly cl 2 and 3 schools, Ozark is probably their only choice unless coc

Apparently the Ozarks Conference denied Bolivar's application as a full member. Bolivar is now going to reapply for membership in the other sports besides football.
