1. Cassville - Will have some inexperience but still look to be very tough with returning some good skilled position players
2. Aurora - Returning just about everybody and well sized
3. Monett - Returns some solid players and will be interesting to watch early
4. Lamar - Could sneak up and win the Big 8 with the best senior class ever to go through Lamar. A very solid Class 2 school.
5. Seneca - New coach and are going to be a young team, especially in the skilled positions
6. Mt. Vernon - Good team and have the players to knock off the conference favorites, but I think they will go 4-3 in conference
7. Carl Junction - They will have to prove themselves to become a conference contender again
8. East Newton - still need to improve in a lot of areas
