Exactly why Joe did it!! Beat Trump to the punch. Was there any doubt how it would turn out.They're all corrupt ba$turds!! If modern politics has proven anything, it's that politicians are above the law!! It all makes me sick!!!!
That's a huge leap. But at the same time, I don't know that you're wrong, in principle. The multi-tiered justice system that we've always had isn't the fault of the system itself (other than the fact that it assumes at its core that human judges, etc. can be incorruptible); it's the fault of the humans running the system. The human element can never be fixed. This is not a conservative vs. liberal thing. This is and always has been a wealthy/connected vs. everyone else thing.
Not a leap at all. Trump has already said many times he will pardon all Jan 6 "patriots". If he can abuse his power in such a blatant manner , Ol' Joe decided to do the same for his son. Sure he will take heat for going against his word about pardoning Hunter, but he's riding off into the sunset of his career and doesn't care who doesn't like it.
What I really wonder is why the Founding Fathers were so obtuse as to think the pardoning power of the president wouldn't be abused.

Thing I don’t understand is Biden said the charges were all politically motivated, but wasn’t it Bidens own DOJ who brought federal charges against Hunter?? Hunter ended up being convicted in California and Maryland not exactly Republican hotspots.
Presidential pardons should be reserved for people who anyone with common sense would agree was unjustly convicted

No, those idiots shouldn't be pardoned. And neither should Biden's son. It's corrupt on both sides but yet most people will only claim one side is. If people can't figure out by now that all politicians are corrupt, they have problems.
To get that, those politicians that it would be investigating would have to create it. Good luck with that.
