The COVID jobs asterisk: Much of the Biden labor market gains are part of the post-pandemic recovery, as unemployment was just 3.5% in Feb. 2020 and the number of employed Americans is up only 4%. Biden has largely focused on the Covid-skewed data points, and Trump’s labor market performance depends strictly on the cutoff date, as the COVID-19 disruption undid much of the nominal progress, sending unemployment briefly to an all-time high of 14.9% in April 2020 and causing the overall workforce to actually shrink from Dec. 2016 to Dec. 2020.

One more major gaff by Biden in front of a camera and he is toast. He could have walked away and probably be considered an average president with some deserved credit for stabilizing the country during COVID. He kept the bus outta the ditch and that's about all I expected out of him. I, like most, thought he would only be a one term president and ride off into the sunset.
That is what I thought too, bridge the gap while a new leader emerged. Had he picked a better VP I think they would be running. Harris looked terrible in the debates and really has never grown much as a VP.
I think someone like Joe Manchin would have been good, would have received a lot of moderate support along with many of the moderate leaning Dems and Pubs.

Pre Covid Trump averaged adding 1.8 million jobs a year to an already strong economy. I have been working in San Diego this spring cant believe all of the filth and people living in tents all over the city. House prices are so high and taxes so high that people are fleeing California like rats off of a sinking ship. $28 billion budget deficit this year with massive cuts to education. California is $1.6 TRILLION dollars in debt , They did finally wake up and decide they better not shut down their last working nuclear reactor because they can not power the state without it.

Have you ever been to Grand Junction Colorado? Another city with a lot of homeless folks. It sits between the mountains and has a very moderate climate. Do you blame the state of Colorado or the city?

Is that why they flee to NYC as well? Went on a trip there last year and homeless people sleeping everywhere. Dude dropping his pants to pee in the middle of the sidewalk, people in Time Square searching for food in the Trash, Lady gets pick pocketed. I'm sure they flock there because of the climate as well.
I have been to Grand Junction many times and it sure as hell doesn't have a moderate climate. Head out there in January and February sometime and try sleeping in a tent lol. Average low is probably 15-20 degrees

Very true. A lot of beautiful buildings and history. But I don't think you understand the trash and filth unless you have been there recently. There has to be a way to clean it up. We stayed in Manhattan which is like 1.6 million, similar to San Diego. Obviously San Diego is larger per square miles, but man I had never seen so many laundry detergent bottles. Every street you walked on had homeless people in doorways.
