What was the best trick play you have ever seen?
There are times when it looks like Thayer has more receivers than the defense can cover!Thayer uses some trick formations, pretty tough!
That was before the streak Cassville or Lathrop ended the streak I believe?
Not the best I've seen but the most timely . I think that was with no time left to break Lamar's long winning streak
Petersen was a God at trickeration.
Temple Hide-A-Ballanything from Larry Bunn, but Box 13 comes to mind. Throw the slant to the reciever, he pitches it to the tight end who ran a drag, then the tight end runs downfield and pitches to the running back who had been following him on a pitch path.
Temple Hide-A-Ball
Works every time

But speaking of timely plays the play at Lamars first state championship late in the game of a third or fourth down. The play was some sort of delay to a kid in as full back or TE. Everyone was faked out . Thought the ball was with either the RB or QB going left. Meanwhile the player that rarely touched the ball went left for a first down. I just butchered this story. If anyone was there they could tell it better than me.Winning streak wasn't even thought of at this point, this was 2013. Winning streak was started after losing to CJ in 2014 on a blocked field goal.

Zach Yokely ( had a huge game as a defensive end that game ) ran the ball, I think that was actually Temple Hideaway - Quarterback and the wings faked sweep and ball was snuck to Yoke, who waited for the smoke to clear and ran the ball up the middle ( I think even maybe for a touchdown)
Lamar also ran hitch and pitch for a touchdown before half in 2014 in the dome as well, think it was during # 4. In 2016 against Trinity in Springfield ran a form of a reverse double pass ( I could be wrong on the specifics) for a touchdown or two point conversion.
I probably had too many touchdown cookies that fogged my memoryYokely, yes that was the play. More up the middle but a little to the left. Don’t think it was a TD though.

Are you sure? I’m not as it was 2011. I sure thought he ran for a first down and then someone else scored. I couldn’t find the box score online but the Globe article did not mention the play or Yokley scoring. It did mention a long drive late in the 3rd with a Beshore TD.It was a touchdown
BUT I can only account for 6 of Lamars 7 TDs so I may be wrong. Are you sure? I’m not as it was 2011. I sure thought he ran for a first down and then someone else scored. Two TDs each by White, Beshore & Campbell. The other TD was Cole Speights.Your better than me, all I remember is running the heck out of trap, and Yokely being a nightmare to the big quarterback they had
