Gossip that Crane is best team in state regardless of class. I was beginning to believe that since they were dominating other teams. Where did the Skyline game come from? Go from beating teams by 20+ then that? Can somebody fill me in on the Crane vs. Skyline game. Could Crane not match up? Somebody out? Foul trouble? I understand that Skyline is ranked in their class but shoot Crane beat Kickapoo by 21. Best team in state still? Should somebody be calling Skyline to get a scouting report or was it a fluke?

No fluke. Two teams who are almost mirror images of each other. Just flat get after each other. It was a great game to watch. Probably the best game of the Pink and White tournament. And best part is they will probably meet again in the tournament. Keep in mind they met for the state championship last year in Columbia.

Skyline has been impressive year in and year out. Never count them out. Crane is still young at it but very good. It is the old saying experience wins out.. 2 great teams going at it. They will meet again and will be another great game.

I contend the best team in the state this year is more than likely Columbia Rock Bridge, even with their losses.

Well its great to hear both teams went at it. I was hoping it wasn't that somebody from either team was out for some reason. That just causes more hearsay. I'm still excited for their Rock Bridge matchup. Im still going to try and make it to the Crane vs St. James game at Drury too. Still saying Crane got it by a few buckets. Saying that you have to applaud the St. James program. I see them a few times a year. Solid about every year. Hats off for as many winning seasons and titles as they have. Still a shame they are in same district as Fatima. Both great teams that are capable of winning many other districts regardless of class. If St. James beats Crane it be cool to see them play Rock Bridge but owell.

Since you appreciate good game and all.
I read the news clip after Crane defeated Stockton. (Stocktons best player IMO, was a DNP) Stockton did not mention it, at all. I thought that was cool. rather than saying "well if a 4 year starter that AVERAGES a double double would have....." they just said good job Crane.

.....says the poster who tag name is "allstater04"...... Sorry couldn't resist

I'm not sure what my achievements have to do with this particular topic. I'm saying that I think it was probably best that the team didn't say anything in the article about having a player out for the game and any other excuse. Its pretty humble even if they think they could have won. Am I wrong?

Sorry you have an issue with my blog name. I thought it was relevant to the message board when creating the profile. Should I have chosen something more current in my life? Something like awesome_parent10? I see how these could come off as not being humble. I'm proud of many things I have accomplished. I also think there is a difference in being cocky and arrogant vs being a confident leader. It starts with being humble and projecting your confidence in a positive way to others. This is why I enjoy spending a good portion of my winters watching, encouraging, and cheering teams on even though I've been out of the game ten years now.
