Not saying its better than the 5 matchup you have listed, but Raytown vs. Grain Valley should be interesting. Raytown gave them their only loss a few weeks ago in a close one. Grain Valley has had two weeks off now since Chrisman got Corona this week. Not sure being off that long will help or hurt.

Class 4 District 5 Carl Junction (6-5) at West Plains (9-1).

Finally, Webb City (20 straight district titles) moved up to Class 5, removing that hurdle that has blocked these two teams from any hopes of postseason glory for a long time.

Thus, I think this will be an epic battle and a close affair.

West Plains is the Ozarks Conference champs and had an undefeated run going until a small stumble against Bolivar in week 9.

Carl Junction lost to COC champ Carthage 21-20, had another 21-20 loss to Branson, and fell to Webb City 28-14, in addition to their losses to Class 6 teams Joplin and Nixa.

Class 1 District 7 - Hamilton (or Penney if one insists) at Princeton could be fun to watch.

Liberty/LN rematch should Be a doozy. Jones gets 200th win this past Friday. Frigon at Liberty became winningest coach in Liberty history 2 weeks ago. Run heavy offenses. Tough teams that don’t get too fancy and do what they know.

Carl Junction is pretty good, got to see them up close and personal. It is hard to tell about West Plains the Ozark Conference is the unknown, I really think this could be a good match up it will be a long bus ride for the Bulldogs.

I think Thayer/Haiti is basically the state game. Haven’t seen much of Haiti, but from what I’ve seen of Thayer they’ll walk all over the rest of class 1 on their way to a well-deserved state title. Well coached, talented, and very physical. I don’t see anyone getting within 2 scores after Haiti.

You may be right about Thayer, but I don't know if you have seen all of the Class 1 teams. I think there are some very good teams, (Mid-Buc, Adrian, Skyline and Windsor). Time will tell.

That Skyline-Windsor game has the potential to be one heck of a battle. Any radio stations that will broadcast the game?

Hayti just had a shootout with St. Vincent where they were tied at half and were in a one score ball game with 6 minutes to go. Hayti themselves may struggle to get within two scores of Thayer with their Starting Qb back who didn’t play in the first game

Skyline could keep it interesting if they hit on some big plays, but I think Windsor is a much more complete team. I wouldn't be surprised if several of the big class 1 games are lopsided this week. Thayer, Windsor, Lockwood all have the potential of blowing out their opponents.
I don't know anything about Mid-Buc, and don't have enough info to predict winner of Adrian/Sweet Springs. Adrian hasn't impressed me but I've only seen 2 games, and I know nothing about Sweet Springs other than the scores on MaxPreps. Anyone else know anything about them?

Have you seen Thayer, Lockwood or Windsor play? Mid-Buc is very good, I have seen them on hudl twice. I have not seen Adrian this year, but I am sure they are tough. They should beat SS by a couple of scores.

I’ve seen Thayer, Lockwood and Windsor. All 3 are talented but Lockwood and Windsor are relatively untested. Thayer likes to get in tight and run it right at you, then mix it up with some (very effective) play action. LW and Windsor both have a mix of strategies. They’ll run power but also spread it out and pass. Both have some speed. I still think Thayer is a cut above all that I’ve seen. What does mid-buc do well?

Is Liberty RB healthy??

I've seen MB twice, their QB is an energizer bunny, he is fun to watch. They run, throw, and they fly to the ball on D, a very athletic bunch. They got knocked off by Valle last year and have a lot of that team back. They have turbo-clocked every opponent this year in a VERY weak and VERY down KCI, worst I've ever seen it. They play East Buch again this week, EB hasn't improved much this year, it should be another blowout for them.

This group of srs at Thayer was undefeated in the SCA in jr high and as freshmen who made up the jv. Their qb has started since he was a freshman at fs. Rest of them have played varsity since soph yr. A pretty tested bunch who almost beat valle last yr and ran thru the sca this yr. Hayti will be a tough game, but dont bet against Billy Webber.

Great thread with some exciting info posted. Hayti/Thayer and Skyline/Windsor would be so much fun to watch. Mid-Buch as some have mentioned here are battle-tested w/ 2 semifinal games in back-to-back years. They also easily bested Princeton in the 1st game of the year at Princeton. Princeton's gone on to have a good year but, I think the teams on the other side of the bracket like mentioned here are probably tougher than what they've faced so far. I am pretty ignorant of what Adrian and Marceline bring to the table so I can't discount them either.

Where and when have you seen Windsor play?

Class 6 Liberty North at Liberty: MY MO game of the week. Here at Kearney Jones' teams were always much more dangerous when coming from off the pace (2009 was a two loss reg season team 2015 a one loss team). They are even more dangerous when getting a second crack at a regular season loss. Add to that the fact North lost their opener at Bentonville AR and were behind the 8-ball going to Liberty who had whipped Blue Springs the prior Friday.

Pius-Higg is inter-regional and very hard to figure. Regardless what a turnaround at the 29-35 split!

I expect Helias to zoom past Warrensburg by 3-4 TDs.

Webb is going to unseat Carthage Friday. The big league SR RB will make sure of that.

Another I may add is Richmond vs. Maryville.
