We just backed into the division title. Now lets not throw Waino 100 pitches.

If they win today it won't be backing in, but who cares how you get there. Others teams had to lose games throughout the year, not just the last one, or they would be division winners. It's the best of 162, not 1.

Well put 3r, but I think Waino should have pitched today.. Long time off between starts

I'm with ya there. He was on a roll, can't imagine why they chose to leave him in the dugout today when they could have just controlled the innings or pitch count. Maybe they were afraid he'd have no hitter going and not be able to pull him.

Limiting innings for a guy who has thrown deep into October the last two years is kind of important.

He can go throw on the side if you really want him to get work so bad.

We all know throwing on the side is NOT the same as game action. Waaay too late to worry about innings this year.

Don't agree given the numerous examples of starters skipping a start or two and coming back with better velocity. A little rest can go a long way sometimes.

Maybe if they're struggling, not the case with wainwright. He was pitching as well as he can pitch at the end. Hope he throws another shutout, maybe his mates can get a run or two a cross somehow.
