I would just like to know from someone knowledgeable what constitutes a practice under MSHSAA rules. Do games count? Can you have a practice on a game day and count it? Do weekends count? Does it have to involve all players on the team, or can a practice be held for just a few players? Can it be optional or does it have to be a mandatory practice? If a player is injured but attends the practice, does that count? If a school plays a player too soon, what is the penalty?

Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks!

don't know about the penalty, but I do know the term "practice" (as I understand it) is fairly flexable. You can only count one practice a day. So a practice and a game on the same day counts as one. As far as I know wekends count. I'm not sure if there is a certain number of players that need to be there, but I don't think so. I think a coach and a player or two and sweating constitutes a practice.
