Is there still an AP all state team selected?

Media all state team has not been selected yet, to my knowledge. The Northwest all district team is being released tomorrow (Wednesday 3/28) I have no idea on the time table of the state wide team.

There haven't been media-chosen all-state basketball teams since after the 2013-14 season. Do not get me started on that.

Been out of the all-state game since (not so coincidently) 2014, but sounds about right. Post-Dispatch only gives a hoot about HS football. All-state baseball and basketball polls died on my watch and I guess all-state basketball followed soon afterward. Doesn’t help that almost every knowledgeable HS sportswriter in the state has been removed from or gotten out of the failing newspaper industry.

The media got out of it because there was a lack of media coverage. Local newspapers folded and shut down or cut staff that would normally cover their sports because not as many people read newspapers. So your only AP coverage would be around larger populated areas.
