Lol Thayer below 2 teams who wont even be in the top 10 in Lockwood And Skyline. These polls are hard to take serious when There's noway Lockwood or Skyline will be able to play with Thayer... Skyline lost like 6-7 studs which was most of their offense and Lockwood lost 15 seniors... Oh well we shall see i guess.

The 1a rankings are always a joke. Really Scotland County? What kind of mental gymnastics did that require? And what about Lockwood, Polo & Mark Twain shouldn't you be required to have at least 1 quality win the previous year to make a pre-season ranking?

Thayer lost quite a bit too, so I guess I don't really see your point here lol.

And Lockwood does return probably the best Class 1 backfield tandem in the state so....?

But I'll go with we shall see as well.

Didn't know Thayer lost a ton... Its hard trying to keep up with all classes of missouri high School football... Yeah Lockwood has those 2 backs And a TE who is moving to tackle And a returning T if i remember right i thought replacing 7 or 8 starters might be hard guess they don't see it that way.

Love seeing the CCC get some love, but I'm afraid it's mostly misplaced. Both Palmyra and Brookfield lost key pieces. I'd say Centralia, who hasn't gotten a sniff of a look moving down to Class 2 on here at least, will be a very tough out.

Was the 09 semis the last time they were c2?

I will say I saw Palmyra at Camp this summer, and damn! They will be just fine. VERY physical and VERY scrappy group. Miles has got some good things going there.

Webb #1 over Kearney???some people been drinking the red Koolaid cause that's just wrong.

I don't see how they could have less people coming back than we do

Kearney returned like 3 starters... They are going to be good, but may have a couple early losses

Kearney is playing all three top C5 schools not just in the KC area but maybe in all of MO (Fort, Lib North and Staley). Both teams will be much, much better late in the season. If MSHSAA keeps the brackets like last year these two could easily hook up in Springfield but that is the last thing I would bet on either K or Webb's minds especially with the Week 1 matchups awaiting tomorrow.

Lockwood only lost 12 seniors. 5 starters on offense, 4 on defense. All skill players but QB are back plus one new RB. As for quality wins our JV played the second half of every regular season game. Lockwood out scored their opponents 507-151 with the JV playing half the time.

who did they beat?

Liberal. Rich Hill. Cole Camp. Pierce City. Sarcoxie. Jasper. Miller twice. McAuley. Diamond.

He was saying they didnt beat anyone worth a poop... Other than 8-0 jasper Team which you barely beat you had no good wins... 508 points against teams that did nothing at the end of the year... And im from Jasper And Have no problem saying the Srvc has been majorly weak for a few years... But hey just my opinion

They barely beat jasper who got destroyed by the 4th or 5th place team in the WEMO. And according to bleach we all know the wemo isn't any good.

I expect The Wemo to be down slightly this yr Also... And i wouldnt be surprised if Drexel comes close to winning The Wemo if they can stay healthy... Heard Midway And Adrián are down slightly... We will start to see in t-minus 7hrs 27mins.

Lafayette County should be ranked even higher considering their best running back is still recovering from a torn ACL and their starting QB broke his wrist in the jamboree.

8 is way to low

Shows just how bad the SRVC has been. Lockwood thinks they've been a machine when everyone else (minus Jasper) has been a dumpster fire. Shouldn't take much to get to the top of that heap.
