Tyem Freeman, one of the state's premier players in the 2019 Class, is apparently headed from Hillcrest to Parkview. Holds an offer from Missouri State.

Parkview is the favorite in the Ozark Conference if this actually goes through.

Good player. Also holds an offer from MVC member Bradley

We'll see about that!

Well, barring injury or Tyem not being eligible, the league race will likely come down to those two teams. Both teams basically return everyone, except Parkview is adding Tyem. It was an eight-point game last year and I think he’s worth eight points.

I could be wrong, it will probably be a close game and it could go either way. Regardless, Glendale is going to have to get a lot more interested in playing defense or their season is going to end about the same way it did last year. I’ve not seen many championship teams allow 90 points per game.

They better win the OC and a lot more, too. I'm sick of Glendale getting "talent" and doing NOTHING with it!

As of last week he was still playing with the Hillcrest team in fall league

Mid-year transfers can be a risky deal. Ask the kid from Central last year. I don't know the circumstances of this one, but you never know.

I don't speculate about a kids grades in a public forum.

Does there have to be an actual physical change of address for this to happen? Never fully understood how the enrollment thing at Spfd schools works in conjunction with MSHSAA rules.

Starks got a hardship waiver when he left GHS for HHS. I think all the other transfers that I can recall had to sit out 365 and only play JV. Well, wait, one player(John McAmis) went from GHS to KHS back to GHS without missing a beat, but I think that was before MSHSAA and SPS clarified the rules in about 2006? 2007? Things were a mess before that, though. A Parkview kid went from there to GHS in '06, but he couldn't make it through pre-season workouts. Then, the whole Rob Will deal in '97. It's probably still a mess!!! Basically, if you move before your first day as a ninth grader, you can attend any high school in SPS as long as that school isn't full, which only Kickapoo is. Well, wait, Thomas Whittaker went from GHS to HHS and didn't have to sit out. I don't know what happened there. Oh, yes! It's all coming back to me, GHS was told NOT to check the box even though people at Glendale wanted to. Is Kerr still at GHS this year? What about the 6-4 or 6-5 home school kid?

Freeman's family moved, so he'll be able to play for the Vikings. Look for them to be in the T of C in '19.

I remember a Glendale player that went and won a state title at Ozark without moving. After another school complained, Ozark held him out of districts until MSHSAA cleared him. Can't remember MSHSAA's excuse, but that was under the old regime.

Lucas Harrell, pro baseball player, but also played basketball. I think he maybe started at Kickapoo, then Glendale, then finally Ozark. Something like that. He's got nothing on one kid who went from Parkview to Nixa to Ozark around that some time period. That was all before MSHSAA and SPS cleared up the transfer rules.

Harrell was a trade deadline acquisition by the Rangers last year and pitched down the stretch for them. He had been solid for Atlanta.

He pitched briefly this year for the Blue Jays.

Pretty cool anytime any athlete from Missouri makes it!
