I hate to say this but will anyway. A cousin of mine worked construction. Made enough that he could have, should have had health insurance. He went into a StL hospital for some procedure, can't recall what. I saw him outside the hospital, IV in tow and smoking a cigarette. He said they just told him he owed $40k and his comment was no way I'm going to pay that. Knowing him he probably escaped without any payment.
And he was a tRUMPER!

Reagan also granted amnesty to 3 mIllion illegal aliens living in the US and the promise to close the border on illegal entry. We never did shut the door. There is a legal way to emigrate to the US.

I understand to a degree why we are pumping some money into Ukraine..... It's a small percentage of our over all military budget, it is weakening Putin and China to a degree. It also let's China know we will do the same if they decide to expand to let's say Taiwan. But at best this will just be a stalemate and as I said a protracted drawn out war with zero end. Putin will probably start pressuring his allies to join in the war as well. This whole thing could escalate in a hurry. The Big Z in Ukraine already wants weapons to attack Russian forces and instillations inside of Russian Territory.......
Another issue is this administration has no exit strategy it appears, see the Afghanistan, they seem to be flying by the seat of their pants. And at some point if this thing is going to end NATO is going to have to sit down and make nice with Putin and agree to some kind of deal that is palatable to both sides.
In the end you are right we will end of footing the bill on the rebuild and the one Fact in this whole thing is that the Ukraine is full of corruption and money shifting. I wonder how many millions of the Billions we are sending is being funneled away from the War effort into the coffers of Big Z cronies?

IF only we can keep the criminals out. The drug trafficking, human trafficking, cartels, street gangs and petty criminals are running rampant right now in all cities along the border. All these people entering have no job or home, they aren't being given rubber stamped work visas or citizenship, and it's still a crime to hire undocumented workers.
It's easy to dismiss the criminal element. Out of sight, out of mind. But many places in border states are much more dangerous than they were 10-20 years ago. Just ask any Texan.

That is a complete misrepresentation of what I have posted on this board, I want a orderly and controlled immigration policy that vet's people coming into the country. I am even for a guest worker program that identifies and tracks those workers during their stay and allows for citizenship.
Trump at least tried to control the boarder but was fought tooth and nail by the Democrats to demonize his policies as racist and environmentally unsound.
Closing the boarder to unfettered immigration of illegals is not Stopping Legal Immigration at all.

I get it people in America have some strange soft spot for Native Americans because they have been romanticized in the Media/Literature etc. But the truth is many of them where just as war like and aggressive as the Europeans, they had no written langue and where technologically inferior. It was inevitable that they would be conquered and assimilated. This is the way of things..... it's human nature.

I freely told you in another thread that it was part laziness. Posting to a Message board during my free time at work after I have my Charting and analysis finished at work is a nice stress relief. Then fix your goofy mistakes, it is NOT just a random spelling error on your part. I don't give rats ass about a formal education at a higher level. I made decent living and have a decent retirement from the RR and it didn't cost me or my parents dime to get it. I probably got a better education in life working for a living than most folks that went to college and have 2 or 3 degrees.
I'm unbending on only a couple of things.... the Constitution and the Bill of Rights hence my stance on the Second Amendment. And I'm unbending on the Freedom of the Individual. Often that Principle belief is at odds with what I think is good sense or humane. I support the Legalization of Drugs for that Reason, the right to a Abortion or not to Vax as well.
