Bosko does come off like a real jerk in the movie. I did appreciate the ride that one morning when it was raining.
The crowd was fired up for the game. Brian could have gone up there and farted (which he almost did with that speech) and they would have torn the roof down. It had nothing to do with you Mr. Famous!
