The year was 2004--When a St. Louis area team was not in the finals

of the largest class in Missouri. Poplar Bluff defeated Blue Springs in the finals that year. Chaminade was one of the biggest favorites ever to win their semi-final game.

If anyone out there in MoSports land picked a Kansas City team to defeat Chaminade in the class 5 final four this year, Please post the name?

Not sure I know of anybody around here who predicted a Chaminade loss. But I do know a bunch of folks who recognized that Chaminade played inconsistently at times throughout the year, often relying heavily on the one-on-one play of its star, and not getting enough points in the paint, despite three starters 6'8 or taller.

When Chaminade had it rolling, they appeared unbeatable. But at other times, such as in their district final vs. McCluer North, they looked vulnerable.

The Chaminade fans I knew thought they'd win it all, but they weren't brimming with confidence.
