All four Jeff City schools alive and well!

Jeff City loses to P hill this week
Helias beats Cap city this week

Helias loses to winner of district 7/8

Blair Oaks (Wardsville) is a Jeff City school area school.

Jeff City can beat Pleasant Hill, if they play like they are currently playing they will win.
Helias will have no issues with Capital City even though it should still be a good game
Helias will be in a great match up against Lebanon or Republic next week. They can easily win that game too.
Blair Oaks biggest matchup coming up will be against Borgia. I think Borgia is the most underrated Class 3 team out there.

Borgia aint getting by park hills central, they are way more healthy than when they took their losses.

I like Republic as a nice Class 5 dark horse. Agree JC is playing very well kinda hiding under the Class 4 radar.

Blair is the (big) favorite to win Class 3 in my mind.

I said they were underrated. I will stand by that. Borgia's only losses are to St Dominic and Cardinal Ritter. If they get past Park Hills Central which should be at Park Hill's they would then get Blair Oaks in Washington. Don't think they could get past Blair Oaks but honestly I see that being a hell of a good game.

While their only losses are to those teams they don't have a signature win. They look similar to Raytown south from KC area. The best of the mediocre.

Jeff CIty has really played some tough competition

The way JC has been playing against who? They have played Fulton and Marshall the last two weeks, Those teams are terrible. They beat a pretty good class 3 Moberly team the week before that. JC is not a good team. They benefited greatly from not being in the same district as Hannibal this year.

Maybe a little too far to be part of the immediate Jeff City metro area, but Tipton looks strong in Class 1/.5. Only losses to Class 3 Orchard Farm by 2 and to a very strong Adrian team. Potentially brutal travel back to back weeks to Crystal City this week and probably St. Vincent the following week. I’ll still put the Cardinals up there with the other top teams in the class, but beyond their district it’ll be tough.

It will be explosive Portageville or very experienced, efficient Marionville.

If we expand in that area also give kudos to CALIFORNIA. They pulled off one of the biggest upsets of last weekend in Oak Grove and how they did it was really outstanding.

All 5 of the Joplin teams still alive too! (Joplin, Seneca, WC, Carthage and Lamar) And don't forget suburban Nevada!😎

Wow did this thread expand.....................

Hmm Blair Oaks is located in Wardsville!
Wardsville is like a small suburb to Jeff City so it’s technically Jeff City

Like how everyone I have heard calls Wentzville, O’fallon, St Charles & St Peters, Chesterfield, other St. Louis when those cities are not even in St Louis City Limits

Columbia Area Metro Schools
Rock Bridge beats Troy
Father Tolton beats Warsaw
Boonville loses to Odessa
Moberly loses to Blair Oaks by 30+
Westran beats Penney in a Close Game

Cape Girardeau Schools
Jackson beats Seckman
Cape Girardeau beats Farmington
Scott City loses to Valle by 40+

St Joseph Area Schools
North Platte wins a close game to Crest Ridge
East Buchanan beats Mid-Buchanan
Maryville has a Tough game against St Pius X (KC)

None of the students that attend Blair Oaks live in Jeff City, yes they are a Jeff City area school, but not within the city limits of Jeff City. Also, anybody who lives in Wardsville can use Wardsville on their mailing address instead of Jeff City if they choose, this was allowed a decade or so ago. Most don't because it was always a habit to write Jefferson City, so they still use Jefferson City as the mailing address.

Not being from around there....sounds to me like blair oaks is in fact
....jefferson city.

Dont forget mac county. Close enough. Oh, and liberal and Carl Junction.
Let’s not forget Jasper. It’s in Jasper county.😂

Yeah, that's true for most people that aren't from the Jeff City area. You ask some people from Blair Oaks and they don't care if they are considered Jeff City, some people can't stand it, mostly those that live in Osage Bend and St. Thomas. Taos and Wardsville people don't care as much because they are literally on the doorsteps of Jeff City. I think most people from Blair Oaks would actually say the towns they're from if people actually knew where the towns are located, because if they do they always have to say near Jeff City because people just don't know.

Not a big deal in the end, and it sure has given people something to talk about on here for a Sunday and Monday.

According to the fed stats, the Joplin MO-Miami OK Metro Area is Jasper and Newton County in Missouri and Ottawa County in Oklahoma. Don't ask me why they didn't include Cherokee County, KS. So Mac isn't in it (they are considered part of the NW Ark Metro now). Lamar isn't in it. In fact, I can recall one time both Jasper and Lamar vying for some sort of grant for rural schools, and Jasper was told it didn't qualify because it was an urban school, while Lamar did qualify. Typical government.
