Lamar elects to receive!
2 3 and outs for Lamar! 1 for Adrian

Wow . I figured Lamar would turbo them but to be fair I haven't seen a single second of Adrian

Adrian winning turnover battle. Lamar scored on 44 yard pass with 4 seconds in the half! Win or lose Adrian way better than I thought! Adrian gets the ball to start the half!

First play of the second half Lamar gets a player ejected for doing something to Hunter Bailey, who was injured as a result of the play.

Had to turn the broadcast volume down cause I couldn't listen to the Adrian announcers complain about the officiating anymore. Every play they would point out something Lamar did wrong. Adrian just ran out of gas at the end. Didn't help that their RB got hurt.

Yeah the Adrian broadcast team was a joke. I found it comical my wife said it was embarrassing.

Funny how Lamar takes control and wins after injuring the other teams RB early in the 2nd half on a dirty play.
To be fair, Adrian actually scored 12 straight and took an 18-14 lead after Bailey had his ankle messed with. Rumor is his grandpa Scott (jk) stated at halftime "as the former Mayor of Adrian I can't have another Bailey being more successful than me."

Come on. The insinuation is that Lamar chose to make a dirty play to win? Did you watch the game? I was there and went home and replayed the ejection play over and over and still couldn't see anything. The boy that was ejected is probably the last boy on Lamar's team that would be dirty. Here's the play.

Adrian is the real deal. They were big, fast and very physical. They were equal with any team Lamar has played this year.

And made what is left of class 1 a big bag of MEH.
After watching Marionville last night, them and Ava would have been a good game.

I’ll say this about both teams though, without Hunter Adams, Ava goes from good, to just above average.
And without Pomeroy, Marionville goes from good to just above average.
They probably still pummel their small school conference opponents, but not as easily.

That says more about Ava and the SCA being down than it does about Mville.

So how do you think Mville and Pville go this week?

I’m going to have to watch some more of Portageville this weekend. I plan on watching the Thayer game tonight and I’m going to see if I can find a way to watch their game against NMCC from last month.

Right now, if Marionville plays like they did last night, they can beat anybody in Class 1.

Granted, other than the two kickoffs they received, they never had to start an offensive drive further back than their own 45.

But that Pomeroy kid is a difference maker.
6’2 240lbs RB/LB. He can move and he’s solid.

What a great game!
Anytime you play the best program in the state at their house and lead 18-14 in the 4th, you did pretty well.
Had some adversity coming in and during the game that hurt but it's next man up .

I knew Adrian would show respect to Lamar by preparing well and playing their asses off for four quarters and that's what they did. In the end, the 8x state champs did what 8x state champs do. They found a way when they probably shouldn't have.

Best of luck to Lamar from here on out.

Seeing it live and above I still don't know what he did! Not saying he didn't do anything, I just can't tell! I've heard from my son, but I don't know if what our kid did is true or not!

The aforementioned #60 happens to show up on my tax returns the last 17 years. I spoke with him about it and I also had a pretty good view of the whole thing. I'll say this: Kids do stuff in the heat of the moment that they regret later. I'm sure the Lamar staff will address this and it's probably not something to be talking about on message boards.

ZERO doubt that Lamar coaches will address it!

Does the kid have any college offers ?

Lamar and Adrian… has the potential for a good I-49 rivalry.
I think Adrian will drop back to class .5 unless a certain someone at mshsaa moves class .5 to 32 teams or something crazy.

Hearing rumblings of more teams going 8 man.

Meant to tell you, you can be very proud of your son and the Adrian program! They got a fan in Lamar! I'd sign up to play those type of games (win or lose) then against some other teams! Best of luck to him!
