and Molina hitting cleanup. And the Birds are up 3-0 after one inning.

Maybe this Matheneging thing is legit.

No, but seriously. Matt Adams is, no joke, starting a game in LF. Not in some ASA national qualifier. But an actual MLB game. For real. In LF. This is honest to God why I can't stand Matheny. He's just dumb.

I was behind the plate today. I laughed every time they announced his position

Humble brag being behind the plate! #Blessed...Seriously though, he somehow watched him track those three fly balls Tuesday, and was like..."yeah, this is gonna work!". Sheesh.

Work seat. Will say I actually enjoyed Busch stadium that way haha

But seriously. This is some kind of prank right? This isn't a real thing that is happening. It can't be

I miss being in the Lou with buddies with work seats! My old roommate was buddies with an account exec at AB. Always got sweet one by the camera well next to the Birds dugout.

Nope. No prank. Just Matheneging. I keep thinking MO is letting it happen to justify canning his a$$ at the ASB.

I'm sorry but if Adams is truly our first sub in LF why in the hell did they wait until the last week in ST to make that move? That's embarrassing and is a sign of incompetence.

Here's the thing. If we want to play Carp and Adams...why don't we play carpenter out in the outfield?

He'd have a lot better chance to learn the position than Adams.
He has actually logged more innings in LF. All winter all you heard about is how they want to get more athletic and better on defense. Adams blows the sh!t out of that theory

Was that from today's game? Had a doubleheader down in Republic today and forgot to dvr. Dear lord, he can't keep running him out there, right???
If that was in fact today....that must have been the Cozart triple

Here is a statcast fact for you that you'll love. Cozarts triple was rated at a 96% chance of being caught. Adams was in LF:D. Apparently Big Jimmy Edmonds felt it was a once in a lifetime type catch though

I mean, if he just stands there, turns around, waits for the bounce off the wall, then chases it down, I think he holds him to a double.

If I were a pitcher I would refuse to pitch if he was in LF. It would be different if he always smashed right handed pitching, but although his numbers might be solid against right's I don't think making every ball hit to left a chance for extra bases is a good idea. Going up tomorrow and have seats behind the Cardinal dugout. If you see somebody being escorted out it will probably be me. The Reds will probably start another lefty rookie and the Birds won't be able to score because they haven't got enough film on him. Either way I will probably get in trouble.A win tomorrow would salvage the series and the home stand, but 3-3 isn't anything to write home about and 2-4 would be same old same old going back to last year. By the way Adam's is hitting .167, but he almost hit a homerun

Nine runs in the first four games and then 10 runs in game 5. Does that sound familiar?
The sad thing will be if our starting pitchers continue to throw well and the rest of the team wastes the good pitching.

Seriously, has Tuivalala ever pitched a perfect inning?

Definitely was yesterday.

He is going to have one heck of a highlight reel.
And yet again, he rolled him out there again Sunday. Seriously, this is a fireable offense. Come on, Mo...just put us out of our misery.

What irks me is this. If you want Adams in the lineup so GD bad...Why not slide Marp to 3B, bench JHoney (since it's obvious he's going to struggle, and we all know in Matheneging small sample sizes don't matter), and play Adams at 1B. This notion that Marp can't move around is silly. Hell, play Marp in LF and Adams at 1B. I've never seen Gyorko play LF or Adams play 2B, but I'm relatively confident that combo is better than what we've seen. It's just absolutely amazing a guy that dumb can be in the position he's in. Moronic.

We could have kept Matt Holiday and at least his bat still plays.
