The wild part is I attended each and every single one of those except #1 in person (ice storm after midnight shift)! I haven't attended exclusively alma mater games since 2002, either.

Glad to see the defensive win over C5 finalist Belton make this list. That was an extremely physical one pretty much the game where I think we KMO folks knew Jones was going to bring Kearney back to the C4 spotlight and quickly.
2016 Platte County was an 8-4 team. Their loss to an average Belton team didn't help. Not ranked super high. Would not make the top 40.
But they beat the eventual champ Harrisonville 49-zip. Had a future OU catcher at QB (Mitchell).

It's interesting that Webb City has one bad season and they are gone from the list. In the past they would be on the list somewhere just by who they are. Most people I know there seem pretty optimistic about this season. Not necessarily that they win a state championship but that they will be the favorite in the COC, or at least the COC west.
Last year Webb lost 5 regular season game by a total of 13 points. I don’t see any of those teams beating Webb this year if we can keep kids healthy.
These all classes lists are so subjective anyway. I just posted them for offseason convo we gotta see who is in what class and district before presupposing anything, frankly.

That is true but they looked really bad more than once. And we're not talking close games against top tier opponents in some cases either. It's not as if they were on the cusp of being a typical Webb City team. Given another 30 seconds on the game clock it's entirely possible if not likely they would have also lost to Neosho. I've been watching Webb City since the days of Kill, last season was really only comparable to 1998 which was also a team that just didn't have the horses even with an NFL prospect on the field.
