5 schools have withdrew from the post season

Not surprising if true. That bunch is real quick to lay it on inferior opponents the last few years and then duck & run when the shoes on the other foot. Haven’t found anybody bad enough to play week 4 in three years.. They scheduled a two game series with Farmington thinking they were going to be good enough to compete and ended up forfeited both years, claimed it was ‘covid’ both times. Forfeited another game to Quincy Norte Dame this year.
I thought that was coming. Ambivalent about it because I think everyone knows how it will turn out but don't like seeing teams forfeit, either.
Hits home. My extended family in Willow would NEVER consider being anything but the same Bears my late grand-uncle was way back when..........
I will check my scoreboard and make sure to mark them down as a forfeit. Thanks for the info

I actually do know some chaneys. Some better than others. Actually have a few stories I could tell involving some of them haha.

Yep all of our families are HUGE. Back in 2013 we had a mini reunion taking my grandma down for her bday and my God there must have been 30+ of them there. I know the main sport the kids liked was basketball but believe a few did indeed play FB, too.
Willow has always been a basketball town.
last year when Wyatt took over the football team, almost the entire senior class that was returning starters didn’t go out for football. Decided to focus on basketball.
including the returning starter at QB who was the best athlete in the school.
even when Ary was there having success in the 90s and early 2000s, was still a basketball school.
