I know it's easier to just make stuff up when you are backed into a corner, so I don't fault you for that too much, but if you could point to the time when I said speed, strength, and size were not important, that would sure be great.

And you have got to try harder in the future; I'm starting to feel a little like a bully.

Your only point is that there is no direct correlation between track speed and football speed? Other than that you have been babbling about nothing, except claiming I am operating under a logical fallacy of some kind.

My point has been that Kearney's success can be directly correlated.

State Championship in track + 6 all-state track athletes on the field has contributed significantly to 9 points per game on D given up, 8 picks, and 44 points per game on Offense.

I suppose I can keep chattering with morons, but what is the point?

And Kiante Harden didn't contribute to the success of the 2014 Webb team? Heston Miller? LOL...STFU

Of course, if you have a horrible coach, then it is all moot.

It's pretty clear who the moron is, that much is true.

I have to agree with Joey on this one. Don't discount the athletes on Kearney and Smithville compared to Center. Watch the Lincoln Prep game versus Smithville last year. There wasn't one play that Lincoln Prep had over 30 yards. Smithville had the speed to keep those long TD plays from happening. However, Smithville had a long TD run of its own. Kearney has a great secondary and gets pressure on the QB. They have tough matchups on offense with their TE as well. Kearney, will have to stop Love and the run game if they want to win. They had troubles against Smithville aginst the run. However, I believe the winner of Kearney/Smithville will beat Center and get a crack at St. Mary's. The winner of that semifinal will be your state champ.

And Love would be about the third fastest guy on the K team. This whole thread started with the ignorant comment that Smithville and Kearney haven't "seen the kind of speed Center has." Sure they have, and more speed actually. The fastest guy in the conference plays for Grandview--and WAY faster than anyone on Center. Raytown has the fastest receivers in the conference. And Smithville has played K, who collectively top to bottom, is faster than any team in the conference. K's special teams and pass D is the best in the conference, And despite Veer's nonsense, speed do matter. SV has the best precision and execution. The winner of SV/K will beat Center by double digits (IF CENTER) makes it through their district.

Most people are bright enough to know a straw man when they see one, so, let's try this again: If you could point to when I said speed doesn't matter, that would be great.

Argumentum ad hominem. Solid.
"You're operating under the premise that all fast football players run track and that straight line track speed is equivalent to the type of speed that is effective on a football field. Those are faulty premises from which to base an argument"

I am operating under the premise that track times are an indication of speed--an objective one, just like 40 times, which can be further demonstrated by results on the field. And just like D1 programs, I trust objective FAT track times better than hand held coach's 40 times.

I am telling everyone I think the "wild card" in District 7 is Carl Junction. The reasons should be obvious by now.

You are saying track speed = effective speed on the football field = football success. I'm saying they are not exactly the same thing and that there is not a direct causal relationship between track speed and football success. Certainly there is some correlation; I don't think that can be argued. But you just keep pretending that I said speed is not important, and that is not what I said. If it helps, I'll sum up my position: speed, while important and very useful, is not the end-all-be-all for football success.

Also, elementary school style name-calling is usually a pretty clear indication that you have nothing more of substance to say and that you're trying to save face and not look like a complete simpleton by somehow getting a last witty zinger in, so I give you permission to get your one last zinger in. I'm sure it will change everyone's mind.

Cute little quips and pre-school comebacks "I know you are, but what am I?" comments don't cut it. YOu made no point. You articulated nothing cogent. It is pretty clear you are a moron.

Talk about a staw man. Never did I articulate the position that is is ONLY track speed that equals speed on the field = football success. Jezuz what a dunce.

I’m beginning to wonder if Joey is arguing more with himself or r14veer 🤣🤣🤣

these seems like a conversation he is having with himself in the mirror of his bathroom

This became pretty asinine early on, but now it's just absurdity, which can be fun, but now we're both just trying to get the last word. Go ahead and get the last word, and I'll stop bullying you.

THANKs for Proving my point by quoting me...and showing what an ass you are.

"Correlated" DOES NOT equal an EXCLUSIVE reason you nitwit. Their success can be directly correlated to speed, yes. That is not the only factor. Nor did I ever f*cking say that.
Keep waiting on those brains to show up.

I stopped arguing with Democrats long ago. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Vocab lesson of the day...

Correlate
1. verb. If one thing correlates with another, there is a close similarity or connection between them, often because one thing causes the other.

This does not mean a direct or exclusive causal link. Because many other factors could be involved.

Veer missed the vocab part of his edu-macation.

That is what you're going to go with? You keep pretending that I said that you said speed is the only factor. Why do you keep pretending that? I'm worried about you.

The winningest team in Football from 1967 to 1983. Three Super Bowl Rings. A commitment to excellence AND SPEED.
