3 Rivers High School Allstar Game

The 3R allstar game for the class of 2012 will be played at Rains Field on the campus of Three Rivers College at 3:00pm on Saturday, July 28th. There will be players from Central Mo., St.Louis, Mo., Southwest Mo., Southeast Mo. and Northeast Arkansas.

Terry, any rosters yet? Sure is good of Coach Childress and you to do this for the area Seniors every year. Something I know the kids and coaches appreciate. One last hurray before college for most of the players.

Coach Childress has about 25 names on the list. Still trying to get conformation from some of them but most have said they're coming. He should know this week who is coming for sure, we'll divide them into teams and I'll post the rosters.

3R that is the First Missouri Bank team not 1st Midwest. Tight game today with Kelso scoring in the bottom of the 7th to tie it 2-2. Then Caela Petty from Neelyville won it with a single up the middle to score the winning run for Kelso with Shaeffer crossing to win it. Imhoff was the winner in relief and Friend took the loss for First Missouri. Good day for the kids and parents and fans and good luck to all the players most of whom will be playing college ball somewhere. Good job 3R, coach Childress and staff for putting this on for the girls.

Thanks LR87. You are correct, I had it right on the team rosters and messed it up when I posted the changes. I'm sure I had a few names misspelled too but it all turned quite well. Had to make a couple more switches today because a couple more kids didn't make it, but the teams were very evenly matched as you could tell, especially in pitching. Our thanks to the sponsors and the fans that showed up, for helping to offset the expenses and making it possible to continue this another year.

I should add there were several people involved in the summer league and the allstar game that made them work. We had folks that would do anything asked of them, mow grass, cook burgers and dogs, fill in in the concession stand, work on the field at any hour of the day and just be at the games to do anything needed. I won't name names, if I did I'd leave someone out and they probably don't want to be mentioned anyway but they know who they are and how much they are appreciated. Thanks to all of them.

There will be a tournament again this year in the fall about the end of the regular season with some JV teams and some varsity teams. I'll give you the date and the teams when I know them.

Lot of good things going at Rains field. Keep us posted on the high school tournament. I believe that is the tournament they played last fall that Clearwater upset Naylor then beat Nortre Dame JV for the Championship, correct me if this is not the same tournament 3R. Summer league was even better than last year with a more balanced number of teams. Again good job by all involved, concession stand has become awesome with the burgers and dogs.
