They use the roads and the infrastructure, send their kids to school and they don’t pay a dime in federal income tax. A lot of them end up getting more money back than they ever paid in. Everyone (including corporations) in this country needs to pay the same percentage of their income to the federal government

These people are paying sales tax for most all of their spending. Poor people arent saving much. So that means they are paying a tax on every dime they earn. If they are lucky enough to own a home, they are paying property tax.
Now you want them to flip the bill for Trump's tariffs on various products.

The great thing about tariffs is that either China changes their behavior, or because of the additional costs American companies start buying washing machines and sneakers from companies in Vietnam, Thailand, or Mexico and China loses that business to a country who is ready to work with us
I've never been a tariff guy but Trump has convinced me they have a purpose. As long as they are used in a weapon fashion rather than a protection fashion, they can be valuable. Right now the economy is booming, wages are going up, inflation is low, and the trade balance is improving. Pretty hard to beat that scenario. Of course Trump is evil and conservatives are sick so there is that.

If somebody would have stood up to China decades ago and done exactly what Trump is doing now it would not hurt as bad as it is going to. This is going to come down to what China believes is going to happen in the next election cycle.
They probable would love to See the DEM's win somebody like Biden so it would be business as usually especially since Hunter Biden is close to China.
I would say China will hold off if they can, from doing anything for a year, if it looks like Biden or another DEM who would be soft on China and pro big business and screw the middle class is going to win the DEM nomination, they will hold out until the election. If a DEM gets nominated who has the same view as Trump on China I think they will come to the table and get a deal done. But again if they believe Biden will get elected they will try to hold out for him, that would be the worst thing for this country.
