Has it been revealed yet as to where the State games will be this November?

did they fricking change it all again, the rotating springfield Columbia thing was alright, not awesome but it worked, I hope they don't go screwing with it again, and they should already have that feces figured out the year before

the dome was better, but if it is not going to be there then Columbia or springfield, they got the motels to handle it

sorry, but warrensburg and Maryville don't have the hotel space, I would for it to be at northwest, but it needs to go to a college town with the hotel space

No one wants to drive to Iowa to watch the games!

Lol not much further from Missouri State to Arkansas then Northwest to Iowa.

But as stated above hotel space would be issue. Most of the 7,000+ come from KC, Omaha, Des Moines areas on gameday.

Care to provide an anecdote? They should put forth every effort within the rules to make each team feel special.

The general feeling based on those who attended/participated was that the MU staff considered it an inconvenience to have to provide any service over and above the very least that they had to provide. Teams and ticket holders.

Perhaps I should have sought a "safe space".

I like the games at Springfield, but I like Springfield. The people seem to care down there compared to Columbia. Sorry Warrensburg, if I want to drive 25 min. to get to the game then I would just get up early and drive the two or so hours to get there. I take my family, we spend a couple of days at the games, it is a mini vacation for us. It is hard to get a place in Columbia and they jack up the prices, but still go. Springfield, I wouldn't have to worry, I could call down a day or two ahead of time and have a room with normal prices. I didn't go to state basketball this year, it might have been hard to get a room in Springfield, but I bet it wasn't bad. Was always hard to get a room in Columbia for state wrestling and basketball. I like state track at Jeff City, but I don't like trying to get a room. Now, Kansas City has a lot of college fields, they could have it there and they would have enough hotel space for people.

I never had a big issue with the dome but was eager to see a different part of the state host - STL was a really long trip from SWMO but a fun getaway. The biggest negative I thought was that the venue was grossly oversized for the event, but at the same time it was a pretty neat stage on which to play the biggest game of the year.

I really liked the idea of rotating between MU and MSU but it seemed like I heard a lot of mediocre or negative feedback from the people who went to Columbia. I agree with others that the hotels in that city seem accustomed to jacking up prices and reducing availability anytime there is an event. I also heard a lot of the same complaints as the dome that it was too large of a venue and made crowds seems small and insignificant.

On the other hand I heard a lot of really good feedback about Springfield and MSU, but of course that is coming mostly from people in SWMO. Some of it was the venue itself, some was how it was managed or just how the city accommodated the event.

All things considered it makes me wonder if maybe the dome was the best option all along.

I always thought football was to be played outside so I was not a fan of having it at the Dome. Now that we have played several times outside in the cold I am ready to move back in doors (older age will do that to you). Would have been nice several years ago when KC voted to upgrade the stadiums that we would have put enough $$'s in to putting the rolling roof over Arrowhead and Kauffman.

I don't believe the rolling roof was for temperature control. Just to keep playing surfaces dry.

So we are less than a month from the season and don't know where the championship will be.
I am pretty sure class 6 and 8-man will be at Faurot Field in Columbia and Classes 1-5 will be in Springfield...opposite of last year

I believe sites are supposed to alternate every other year between the two.

That could be true as the Championships are the weekend after Thanksgiving right rather than Thanksgiving weekend? If the Championships are pushed back then they won't have interference with mizzou's every other year Black Friday game against Arkansas

Do they have to be at one site? Lots of stadiums college and high school that could handle a couple of games if MSHSAA wanted to go that route...

Saturday the 24th at Mizzou:
8 man-2pm
Class 6-6pm

Friday the 30th at Mizzou:
Class 2-3pm
Class 4-7pm

Saturday December 1st at Mizzou:
Class 3-11am
Class 1-3pm
Class 5-7pm

This is from MSHSAA
Already looking forward to the games being at Plaster Field again. Or anywhere besides Mizzou. Was not impressed by the view of the game or any other amenities. And hotels rooms in Columbia are price gouging SOBs.

Looks like Lamar and Webb will play on the same day again, Friday the 30th, but not quite December football for either program.
