"These recruits are excited to live the #TigerStyle lifestyle," said Smith. "From their visits, they came away impressed with the culture of our program and what our student-athletes are doing on and off the mat. They want to be a part of that culture. Each recruit is gifted athletically and academically and will fit in perfectly with our program."
Rodrigo Diaz // Lafayette High School // Lafayette, La. 285
Diaz enters his senior season at Lafayette High School with a record of 128-34. In 2013, Diaz placed third in the Louisiana State Tournament, followed by a second-place finish the following year. Diaz is also a two-time member of the All-District team in Louisiana and a two-time Brute National Champion. Coach Smith described how impressed he was with Diaz from the first time he saw him: "When I first saw Rodrigo, I saw this big guy who was always working hard. Then he came to one of our training camps and worked even harder. His work ethic is what impressed me. We are excited to get a big guy with a great training mentality."
Sean Hosford // Park Hill High School // Kansas City, Mo. 157/165
Hosford is the latest wrestler from Park Hill High School to join the #TigerStyle family. Before beginning his senior year of high school wrestling, Hosford already owns two state titles, winning as a freshman and sophomore. Tom Milovich, his high school coach, is one of the best Michigan State wrestlers of all-time, so we have a connection there. Dante just knows how to use his body to win matches and he will be a great asset to our program," Coach Smith expressed about Jiovenetta. The Florida native will enter his senior season with an outstanding record of 75-6. He earned the FHSAA 1A State Championship in 2015 and was undefeated in the Disney Duals AAU Gold Medalist All-Star Division, earning a 13-0 record.

Koelling is also a two-time Utah triple crown state champion, earning titles in folk style, freestyle, and Greco. Koelling is a decorated champion at the national level, but what Coach Smith saw off the mat is what impressed him the most, "When I got to know Wyatt, the leadership characteristic he had really resonated with me. He's an Eagle Scout. Family is really important to him. Those are the kind of people you want to bring into your program."
