20 for Waino!

And the Birds "should"win 90. Not long ago most of us thought there was no way they would win 90, or that that it might take 90 to win the division. It was looking like 85 could win this division a month or two ago. I don't remember if it was on this board or on the comments on the Cardinal website that someone mentioned Waino would win 20 and someone else said he would have win the rest of his starts to get there. He has been VERY good after a VERY bad stretch.

Only 6 Card pitchers in history have won 20 or more multiple times. Gibby did it 4 times. The last was Andujar 2 times in the 80s. Waino has allowed 1 run or less in his last 4 starts and pitched all but 3 innings of those games. His ERA is back down to 2.38 after that rough stretch in Aug. He is indeed one of the best most of us have ever seen in a Redbird uniform.

Let's hope it carries into the playoffs. He sure looks good right now. Still you have to score runs and that might be our downfall come playoff time
