Ok, so Trinity is convinced they had better "Athletes"...............

What ever, the Trophy is now in the Trophy case of the Better "Football Team" that day. What I took away from that game at the end was "CLASS, CHARACTER & SPORTSMANSHIP". Not only did Lamar win a very good, well fought game, they won the three categories I just mentioned also, and they won those aspects of the game in a RESOUNDING BLOW OUT !!! I know it is Hard to Lose, but come on, that's suppose to be a "Religious Institutional School"......Right?

After the game, did anyone else see Lamar's #12 walk to the East side of the Stadium to offer a Hand Shake, Butt Slap or even possibly mere condolences to the Trinity Kid who refused to join his team at mid field at the time? I cant say for sure, but from my view point it looked too me like the Trinity Coach tried to Push #12 away. I do believe the Trinity Player did reach up and Pat the Lamar Kid in the Helmet thought. I was clear across the Stadium, and my eyes were shaking in the sockets from shivering, so I could be a bit mistaken on this. But from what I saw on the field during the game, Lamar was the winner in Class, Character and Sportsmanship. :)

About Trinity HS

I don’t think nwalls was going out on much of limb to say Trinity would be where they are… they probably have more college level talent on one team than anyone in state, ANY CLASS. They have 8 players on a Class 2 team with Division I or Division I-AA offers, four of which are sophomores. Three of their starting linemen are Division 1 players. They also have 20 freshmen on their roster with a ton of talent too, so I’d expect to see Trinity on this run for a while. I have coached against both Lamar and Trinity over the last 5 years and am looking forward to a great game; I won’t make any predictions but I’ll say this: Trinity is not undisciplined, unorganized and poorly coached. Coach Patterson has done a great job with this team and program. For those unfamiliar with Trinity, here is some info on those 8 DI players on this Class 2 team:

Greatest speeches

"This rally, this game, is not just for the students...its for the whole town!!!! Its for the mothers, the fathers, and the STEEL WORKERS!!!! Now here is the man that is going to bring us to victory, and bring Ampipe back to what it used to be. Coach Nickerson!!!!"

That was my crowd roaring speech at the pep rally before the big Ampipe/Walnut Heights game. Everyone on here was a player, is/was a coach, and were all fans. We all have seen documentaries or movies with great pep rally, pre game, locker room, or post game speeches. That was mine. What are some of your favorite, real life speeches?

Primarily interested in the opinion of Nwalls, but others are welcome to influence the results of his favorite high school team going head to head on the gridiron this year with his biggest collegiate disappointment.

The winner gets to face Trinty for show me braggin' rights.

CJ - WC. Coaching

Three times CJ had the ball deep in the red zone on 4th down and each time decided to kick a field goal, came away with 6 points

WC has the ball 4th and long at midfield and tosses a deep one for a first down.

Quite a difference in play calling

I think CJ goes for iron fourth they probably score a couple of TD's. Don't think you are going to beat Webb kicking field goals
