I am suppose to shake the guys hand that tried to beat my brains in doesn't make since. Losing
team get off the field winning team enjoy your victory but all this fake hand shakes is a little
much, I know people say it shows sportsmanship no it doesn't how you act during the game is
what shows sportsmanship and respect. It is like in soccer players go shake official hands the very
guys they were yelling at during the game.Or before high school games players shake the officials
hand just play the game. I officiated a lot of high school ball I never wanted a player or coach shaking
my hand right before they where getting ready to question every call. Just play the game hard , be a good sport and head to the locker room.

The East Division includes: Marshfield, Logan-Rogersville, Aurora, Reeds Spring, Springfield Catholic, Hollister, and Mt. Vernon.

...just getting tired of hearing the talking heads on ESPN say the Chiefs are not as good as their record (it's the NFL, and the Chiefs are in one of the toughest divisions; they ARE as good as their record...)

...would love to hear them continue to say this crap right up until the Chiefs are hoisting the Lombardi trophy over their heads!

The Nevada R-5 Board of Education voted this morning to accept an invitation to join the Big 8 Conference starting in the 2018-19 school year and will leave the WCC.

Big 8 is reportedly is wanting to expand to 14 schools with East and West divisions. Being described as tentative and contingent on all schools accepting the invitation, Nevada would be in the West along with Lamar, East Newton, Monett, Cassville, Seneca and McDonald County.

Several other schools, including Marshfield, Logan-Rogersville, Reeds Spring, Springfield Catholic and Hollister have been issued invitations to join Aurora and Mt. Vernon in the East division.

The acceptance of Nevada to the Big 8 is contingent upon all schools invited accepting their invitation.

Curious how folks liked/disliked Plaster vs. The Dome. As a west-sider, it was great to not have to travel 4-5 hours. The stadium felt much louder and the atmophere was great (Harrisonville/Kearney) game anyway. Appeared the turnout was much higher? I hope we continue playing there for awhile.

Just a curious question with the previous thread... I loved the atmosphere at Plaster but for the fans that didn't have a dog in the fights did anyone fight the weather all 5 games?

What's everyone's opinions?
I told someone this week that I would wait until after I see how Monett handled McCluer South before I made a prediction.

I think this game is going to be the most competitive game in Springfield. Just my opinion though.

My experience is that 95% of fans don't know the difference. Do all other crowds randomly yell for chop block calls that aren't happening? Or is it just the games I go to?

Well that does it boys! Missouri high school football has come to an end. PA football doesn't end until December! Sadly, Ampipe did not make the playoffs this year. Ampipe hasn't been the same since that rat Coach Nickerson got ran out! Anways, what was your all favorite, or least favorite moment of the 2016 season? I really enjoyed watching Walnut Heights not make the playoffs! I also see a lot of similarities between Ampipe and Harrisonville. Bunch of hard working, blue collar, tough nosed, underdogs! What a season!

Is it just me or are trinitys lineman bigger then both Kearney and Harrisonville!

For a variety of reasons, my seat Friday was on the Trinity side, 45-yd line, fourth row (first row is 10 feet high, so truly a great seat for someone arriving at kickoff).

I didn't find much wrong with the crowd compared to most crowds I've seen over the past few decades, but feel like sharing a few observations:

Best quote (came at the half) - "Their (Lamar's) band is all girls, because all their boys are on the football team!"

Angriest moment - a half dozen fans were shouting while #66 was on the ground with the injured knee. While I heard specific complaints of "chop blocking", I never heard anyone mention retaliation to #7 as was mentioned in another thread. As for me, I found it disappointing for them to be yelling so loudly while their injured player was still in agonizing pain.

Funniest moment - with some of the crowd angry at the referee and shouting various insults, the nun in front of me stood up, turned around, and shouted "HEY!" to her crowd. There was IMMEDIATE silence!

Undisciplined? What I saw that falls into this category was how often adult male fans would go to the edge of the stands and shout orders or make points to both the players and other members of the coaching staff on the sidelines. I think most head coaches have a standing rule that players don't interact with the parents/fans during the game.

Positive note - when the game ended, the Trinity fans were 100% class, encouraging their players to shake hands, cheering their team, and clapping very respectively when Lamar received their trophy.

What ever, the Trophy is now in the Trophy case of the Better "Football Team" that day. What I took away from that game at the end was "CLASS, CHARACTER & SPORTSMANSHIP". Not only did Lamar win a very good, well fought game, they won the three categories I just mentioned also, and they won those aspects of the game in a RESOUNDING BLOW OUT !!! I know it is Hard to Lose, but come on, that's suppose to be a "Religious Institutional School"......Right?

After the game, did anyone else see Lamar's #12 walk to the East side of the Stadium to offer a Hand Shake, Butt Slap or even possibly mere condolences to the Trinity Kid who refused to join his team at mid field at the time? I cant say for sure, but from my view point it looked too me like the Trinity Coach tried to Push #12 away. I do believe the Trinity Player did reach up and Pat the Lamar Kid in the Helmet thought. I was clear across the Stadium, and my eyes were shaking in the sockets from shivering, so I could be a bit mistaken on this. But from what I saw on the field during the game, Lamar was the winner in Class, Character and Sportsmanship.
