Anything can happen

The “just get into the playoffs and anything can happen” people are full of poop.

The cardinals need to start competing with LA and Atlanta and stop just trying to win their division.

In the National League Central’s last 20 playoff games the division is 2-18.

They've averaged 1.75 runs per game in those 20 games.

The division is 2-14 in the past three postseasons. Winning that division is not a great accomplishment.

2018 - The Switch in time for Private/Public

From 2010 to 2017, we usually had 2-4 privates ranked in the top 20 in the state (all classes.) Average of 3.5

After 2018, we have 6 per year. The boutique teams like Trinity/Cardinal Ritter emerged. We always had the Rockhursts, the Francis Howells, DeSmet and CBC.

But short term all star like teams filling up the class 2 to Class 4 ranks was something new. Good enough that even at Class 2 or Class 3, they are in the top 20 out of all classes.

That's why people at MSHSAA ready to look at this. Possibly because high school football was maybe never intended to be treated like a youth league all-star ego trip---for building up recruits.

Sounds like some of you might get want you want

It is coming whether you like it or not. Privates will, like many other states, eventually split from publics in MO.

MSHSAA will dissolve. Stay tuned.

These two quotes here kinda stuck to me so I did some asking. No I don't know who @thetophat2021, but it seems he is either in direct connection with someone in Mshsaa or knows someone who is. Mr. tophat, would you care in indulge us with this sensitive matter possibly being discussed and voted on and the potentially legal action taken if it doesn't go the direction some want?
Don't leave us in the dark my man. You know something

Public & Private

I decided to take a significant hiatus from this site...only to return and see some of your guys still crying about private schools "recruiting All Stars".

My GOD the CBC vs. LSN game was an absolute blowout. It wasn't close at all. That public school didn't stand a chance against the recruited All-Star team which is CBC.

Even though most of them are playing up 2 classes...we need to separate the public and private schools asap. The privates are just too damn good.

Split

How would you split up the Private Schools vs Public schools in a playoff format?

The topic of Private vs Public has been beat to death on here, so lets just focus on how it would be split if it did come to pass. Do you split it 2 Private vs 4 Public? Or 2 Private vs 5 Public? Does the best Private school play the top Public for bragging rights? Just wondering what people think.

8-man Championship: North Andrew 54, LeBlond 24 FINAL

Coverage here for those who did not purchase the MSHSAA championship package/not attending this game begins at 6:45 PM tonight!

Here are some tidbits entering our first title game of the weekend:

North Andrew topped LeBlond 64-36 way back in Week 2.

The Cardinals are among the most storied programs in MO 8-man history which officially began as a MSHSAA championship event in 1988 with an amazing 13 total appearances resulting in FIVE Championships (1996-97-2013-14-16) and a single tie in 1993.

This is the Eagles' first ever appearance since exiting 11-man for this level in 2019. They are seeking to become the second St. Joseph school to win the title which was last attained by Christian in 2010.

See you all at 6:45! Here we go!
