SCOTUS will hear arguments on Feb 8 on whether Colorado Supreme Court can prevent Trump from being on the ballot. I'm expecting SCOTUS to overturn the Colorado decision. Two reasons - the Rep packed SCOTUS, and Trump has not been convicted of any crimes related to Jan 6.

So they will hear that case. But they refused to rule on Jack Smith’s filing regarding whether a president has immunity from being charged with any crime while they are in office. This is very disturbing.

The 14th amendment doesn’t say he has to be convicted of anything. If he simply supports the insurrectionists, he is not eligible to hold office.

It's very simple. If you read the entire amendment it clearly states "The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article "

State or federal officials or judges have not the right to apply the 14th amendment to any situation unless Congress passed legislation giving them that right(which it has not)
