Question...What recruiting service are you using?

Let's use this recruiting service and this time frame.

St. Louis recruits 2015-2018: 19

KC recruits 2015-2018: 13

Mid-MO: 5

SWMO: 3

Look at that, you played yourself. Unless you're using golf scoring and 13 is better than 19?

Rivals.

You played yourself: KC 2 #1s St. Louis 2 #1s.

That doesn't change the quantifiable fact that a majority (key word there) of the best athletes in Missouri come from St. Louis.

Correction: A plurality of athletes in the top recruiting ratings for football come from St. Louis. Key word here, since you don't understand the what the word majority means.

Majority is greater than 50%. Here, I will show you how it is used correctly. The majority of Class 6 Championships over the past twenty years have been won by Kansas City schools.

Oh I get it now.

So since 24 of the 27 top recruits in the 2020 class from Missouri are from St. Louis does that make it a supermajority?

So. A majority of people in Missouri (2/3) come from St Louis, so it would be unusual if a majority of top athletes DIDN'T come from the StL.

You sure?

Missouri is the 18th most populous state in the United States with a total population of 6.1 million. The state’s most populous city is Kansas City which has a total count of over 475,000 inhabitants. The second most populous city, St. Louis, has over 315,000 residents.

Supermajority...that would be the state titles won by teams west of Columbia.

Which also has nothing to do with the quality of athletes on those teams.

Valle Catholic has a load of championships, doesn't mean any D1 schools are interested in any of their kids.

If you're counting all the athletes from the metropolitan area, and not just the city of St. Louis, isn't it a smidge disingenuous to not count the entire metro?

I suppose that would be relevant if all of the players you're talking about were from KC, MO and St. Louis (city), MO.

You're talking about 17 year old's. This statement pretty much makes you a tool. Thanks for playing..

C'mon. The metro StL area has about 60% of the state's population; the KC metro has about 25%, and the remainder of the state has about 15%. Unless you're confining the list of your recruits to the city limits of STL, you're mixing apples & oranges. My point stands.

I wonder what would happen if the super-majority of our kids were proud to attend the U of MO? (I know Moo has made that difficult that last few years)

MIzzou has 6 starters from Missouri..only one is from St. Louis., Curiously, Kearney and Webb have just as many - `1 starter each.

Greater St. Louis 2.9 Million (but this includes IL). Greater KC 2.1 Million (But this includes Ks). Missouri: 6.1 Million.

I hear you, but those stats have to be for the actual city. Stl's metro population is by far the largest in MO.

C'mon, you tried to play this game in another thread and failed. Kids from the Stl area aren't choosing Mizzou for the most part.

Why would StL kids choose Mizzou when Ohio State, USC, and Michigan come calling? I get why KC kids would choose Mizzou, when Kansas, K-State, or Missouri State is their alternative, of course they'd choose Mizzou.

Very smart to stay away from c/o 2019 and 2020 lol. Also looking back at this the State had a couple “meh” years in there 2015/16/17. Classes 18 and 19 have so many more upper level 4 star top 250 guys. 2020 and 2021 looking like special classes as well. We may be in the golden age of Missouri recruiting as far as depth. Hopefully mizzou can start capitalizing eventually.

He 10000000000000% knows this he just likes to play dumb lol. KC kids have Kansas schools Iowa schools and Mo State to choose from. Mizzou is considered a Glamour offer to them LOL

With places like East St. Louis and Ferguson, no one from the St. Louis area needs to be talking about glamour.

You don't want to go there, St. Louis area has more talent, still. Let's go ahead and put this one to bed. Rivals top 30 c/o 2019 in Missouri consists of 20 players from St. Louis area schools. Case closed.

Dbag, this was in response to the assertion that all the KC recruits go to local schools and no premiere schools. More B.S. Nothing whatsover to do with St. Louis.
