Cant we turn this into a Webb or Lamar thread some how? Lets analyze their rosters right now for 2018!!! Lord knows we wont be talking about them every day for the next seven months.

LOL
Now you've gone and done it...

(They've been blessedly quiet as of late)
Oh dont you worry! We Doc Guys are still around. Being the holiday, Im sure everyone else is busy. Bosko is probably stuffing himself silly. Falco is scrapping boat hulls. Stef is doing god knows what. Mox is probably on the ranch or trying to piece his law career back together. And Joe, well Joe is celebrating the only way his family knows, getting hammered!

No one knows. It’s a game that won’t happen. Let’s let all these discussions into who would beat who die. Lamar won class 2 and Maryville won class 3. Congrats to both teams.
I agree to a point. Please disregard whatever vomit I spew. However, I'm really old, really hard up for real football discussion and from time to time decend to the depths of the mosports quagmire to get my football mudslinging fix.
Every week, outside of this forum, I take a shot at a pickem sheet with some football friends. I'm usually wrong but it's what I do. I'm biased to the Springfield - Joplin sw mo area but this year, based on what I saw at Faurot Field, if I were filling in a football pickem sheet that had Maryville pitted against Lamar, that is unfortunately the team I'd circle. Congrats to all the Champions crowned and those that came up a bit short as well. I had a great time watching the games this weekend and you can find me mired in my own little state of self pitty until late August 2018.

The Lamar team before the injuries to a couple of very good players was much better than they were the last few games. Lamar defeated Mt. Vernon 48-6 in mid October without their three year starting QB McKarus. But, when they lost another key skill position player in running back Michael Danner, that allowed teams to key on Cooper Lucas. The offense was not nearly as explosive the last three games, without the dual threat of backs. Injuries are a part of football, but when you lose key players, it is often difficult to overcome for a small class team. Just look at Penney without their stud player.

higginsville lost three sure fire starters before the season started. a stud rb transferfed to chase a d1 offer going to park hill. a big starting ol dl kid did not come out and the junior class most athletic kid was not able to play this fall. if we are talking about lamar not having kids it goes both ways just fyi

Lamar at full health is 100 percent a different team. Can you definitely say those kids impacted that much? The stats speak for themselves.

2010 was better imo
They were the same team as 2011.....mostly the freshman of 2009 class with six of those players playing as freshman......Had it not been for the monsoon in Richmond that year I think this team would have gone on to another title as Richmond went on to win the title in 2011.

Richmond lost to Logan-Rogersville in the Semi's by 3 touchdowns in 2011. The monsoon hurt Richmond just as much, if not more. They threw it more, and had speed out the wazoo (as did Maryville so that was probably a push rain or no rain)

Might have been the same kids mostly, but it wasn't the same team. I played against them in 10 and 11. 10 was way better. In 2011 we ran Pro Right 43 Iso twelve times in a row for a 80 yard touchdown drive. We sure weren't doing that in 2010...

Your right.....Richmond won in 2010.....these years seem to run together.......lol I still think the 2011 team was the best that did not make it to the show me bowl......just my opinion.

Then you must have been playing for Savannah.....that was the only game in the regular season we lost in 2011 in overtime.......which we had a chance to win with a field goal in regulation. I think that was the year also that Webb City came up and was getting a whipping by the savages and then turned around and lost it in the fourth quarter......I went to that game........was hoping the Savages would have won that one. Hope I'm talking about the right year.........lol

[QUOTE="mole 2 the hole, post: What about Higginsville's all-everything QB who moved from Santa Fe to Higginsville for athletic reasons or their 2-way starting lineman who lives in Odessa's school district? Shouldn't that balance it out;)
