The inconsistent offense we had for five months last year has been retained. Unfortunately Mo used the 17 game hot streak to justify standing pat.

Exactly... This basically shows that they started hitting last year when Shildt went against Jeff Albert and Mo and got canned for it. The offense outside of Arenado and Edman is horrid right now.
Word on the street, or at least according to McKernan, is the split from Shildt was due to the organizations unwillingness to break from Dejong. If true, that's telling.
