@Moscow_Mitch Please don't bet on any more of these, that was difficult last night.
I attempted to watch with as much neutrality as I could.
I felt Trump did make a few good points, I think he created a wedge between Biden and the Progressive wing, but when he did he couldn't let the point sink in before going somewhere else and hurting himself. Biden said he wasn't for the Green New Deal, but then said it pays for itself like he is for it, and then said he wasn't for it again. Then he described a plan called the Biden that sounds a lot like the Green New Deal. Trump was talking all over it, and not letting Biden hang himself on that. When asked about the Supreme Court he never gave a definitive answer and wasn't really called out for it, but again Trump was in the way again.
If the goal was to muddy the waters and make the night a waste of time, Donald Trump won easily.
But if the goal was to choose a person to lead us through the next 4 years and understand a vision of what that looks like, Joe Biden won.
When Joe Biden looked at the camera and talked directly to the people he scored points, when he looked at the person interrupting him constantly he lost points. When he spoke with understanding and empathy he scored points. Trump never spoke directly to the American people last night.
So to choose a winner I would have to say Biden, but it wasn't by a lot.
The loser from last night, was the American people, and Chris Wallace.
