Back in 2007 (Jones second year at KTown) we heard the "all I want for Christmas" is to rematch Lee's Summit West..............35-7 later...........
Not sure Webb will go into Carthage next week and win but I'm not worried about them beating Willard @ home week 6
Maybe the Willard students want to see a good football team for a change.

I drove 2 1/2 hours just to see that game. When we got there all of the LSW kids were wearing Santa Clause hats. Seemed like they were pressing the season until some parents informed us about Jones' aforementioned statement. When the game was over they serenaded Jones with the Elvis version of Blue Christmas. I still chuckle about that night. The atmosphere was electric.
Im sure its all in good fun given they were blowing out CJ, kids had to have enjoyed the game, especially after playing so poorly last week.
Is the game at Willard or Webb?
I was at the game, didnt hear a thing. Is this made up just like the time the Webbies swore Willards field was “unplayable” for the webb game about 5 years ago?
By November, ya it takes wear and tear. They play all 3 HS levels on it, JH teams, plus youth games on weekends. Lots of use. But you cant tell me this is a bad surface. They put a lot of time into it and I would put it up there among the best natural surfaces in SWMO.

I just like the fact that it is kids being kids and obviously having fun. Isn't that what high school sports are supposed to be about?

These are kids and basically what they are saying is that they are excited and believe in their team and think they can go head to head with the best. Nothing wrong with a little enthusiasm!
I always find it funny when adults get outraged at the enthusiasm of 14-18 year old students. They're not ignorant to the success of Webb City football, they're just having some fun during a lopsided homecoming win. I can guarantee you that anyone actually associated with the WC football program doesnt give two craps about any of this.
Who was outraged? lol I couldn't care less. As I stated ...I just found in comical because that's wasn't even their next opponent. Not everything is controversial; then again on Mosports it typically becomes controversial because many people lack basic reading comprehension. Carry on

I feel like this year the coc has 3 really good teams who are all a coin toss and a bunch of average teams the other 3 will always pound but against each other ....coin toss
Always thought one of the coolest things and I can't remember if it was LSW or CJ that when the WEBB players were coming out and starters being announced their student section all held up news papers like they were reading it and is was more interesting. School spirit is cool.
Only thing I remember about LSW was them unleashing their Swords of Thunder all over our boys. That intro was hilarious up there
