Will MIZZOU SCORE.....

If Missouri just had a an average offense they'd be in the SEC game again. They'd lose of course.

Its odd...its almost like they teach the quarterbacks to play that way. Daniel, Franklin, Gabbert , Maulk etc have always stood in the pocket flat footed and throw the same way. I dont see the logic there but it cant be a coincidence they all delivered the ball the same way

Have 40 bowls that is a joke, a team like Mizzou should not need a victory for
a bowl ,their defense should go with a good offense but as a team they don't deserve
a bowl some of the teams that will get bowl bids is a disgrace.

I just figured it was always the surfer boy OC that taught that but looks like it's not.

Way, way back when I was a youngster going to a Bowl game was a major privilege and accomplishment (even the so-called minors like the Independence and Liberty). Now, in large part due to TV revenue (shock), there are so many bowl games with so many confusing names and so many 6-6 teams who "earned" a berth most of them aren't worth watching unless you are a big fan/alum of a school involved.

Agreed. The bowl games are not what they used to be. Mizzou's ugly offense shouldn't be in a bowl game either. I like the fact a team like for example Iowa State (not this year) could use a bowl berth to build on, but that's the extent of having so many.
Football regular season and November football is still the best in all of college sports. Every regular season games matters.

Well our offense has been a disaster. We can't throw the ball at all so everyone just sticks 8-9 guys in the box and plays man-to-man/quarters on the back end. Since Mizzou is a spread team, it's pretty hard to block 8-9 guys when you've only got 6 blockers (OL+TE). Mitch Hall/Taylor Chappell are the two worst starting OL in the SEC and they happen to play right next to each other, too. We can't throw the ball because everyone brings the damn house on us, and our receivers and QB are never on the same page.

In years past, J-Frank and Mauk could stretch the defense out with their dual-threat and passing abilities. That opened up a lot of inside running lanes for Hansbrough/Murphy/Josey to knife through 6 man boxes. People used to go really conservative defensively against Mizzou, now they're bringing the house because of how bad our offense is. Whoever our next coach is, he better develop some more toughness and grittiness among the OL. I feel like Max Copeland and Evan Boehm were the only lineman we've ever had that actually had some sort of mean streak to them.

Mizzou's best offensive night was at Arrowhead. They used TE formations. Even that was not used enogh. Mizzou's game plan against Tenn. was back to the old 4 wide stuff. What makes their offense more inept is the QB is not gonna pull it It's like shooting fish in a barrel for Tennessee defense. Awful, awful plan.

Thankfully next Friday will be the end of this offensive sh#t show.,

Bowls should be used like first and second round tourney games.

Things like Russel Athletic and Pinstripe bowls shouldn't exist. It just lets some jabroni teams act like they were good (or get beat down)

By no means am I a fan of the "everyone gets a trophy" mentality, but I'm not going to complain about having lots of bowl games. I mean, it's more football!

I agree. I enjoy watching football when there's nothing else on. That said, should Mizzou go 5-7, I hope they don't go to a bowl. I think this season just needs to end.

Don't worry, Mizzou is on the up swing!

Aww hawkie...will Iowa play a team with a pulse this week? Wait..nope. Maybe in a couple of weeks...wait....nope. Hope you get in and get Bama first round.

Actually I hope nubs beat iowa and then iowa wins b1g . Then UNC beats Clemson....and ND loses to Stanford.Thatd be interesting.

Facts. Mizzou beat zero ranked teams last year on their way to a SEC Least title when it was all said and done.

Veer, it's ok Mizzou is on the up swing! You worry about Arkansas and I'll worry about Iowa this week. Iowa may lose this week at Nebraska. You can make fun of the Big 10 all you want, all I know when Mighty Mizzou played a team with no pulse last year from the pathetic Big 10 they lost!
Just keep telling your self Mizzou is on the up swing! Your excuse next year will be new coach, new system, the Sleep Eat Cheat east is a monster. But remember Mizzou is on the up swing!!

I thought they made that impossible by requiring 6 wins to even be Bowl eligible.

I thought I read they're going to be short(or could be) of the 6 win requirement. Either way, what a nice prize for MU.

Dude I get it. Last two bowl games you got beat up on by SEC but come on.
Mizzou physically dismantled Minny last year IIRC.

Mizzou will be fine. Haters gonna hate.

And Arkansas is the hottest team in college football right now. Won't do any good for me to worry about it though. Nubs are average at best. I hope they win and get arky in a bowl game and you get miss state.

Mizzou upswing?
8-5
7-6
4-8
8-5
7-6

Iowa got lucky the b1g west is so bad (sound familiar...at least Mizzou had UGA, SC, FLA, etc) and their OOC is a joke.

Isn't a .500(or close to) Arky team always the best thing in college football?

Arkansas the best team as in gave up 51 at home to Mississippi St? That hotest team?

The Big 10 west held their own against the East, Sparty lost at Nebraska, Penn State lost to NW. Purdue held their own against Michigan St and OSU. Michigan needed Minnesota to go for it on their 1 and not kick the fg to beat Minnesota.
I would love Iowa to play an $EC team in a bowl, but we got bigger ideas! Iowa's ooc is a hell of a lot better than most SEC teams!
The SEC East was never beating the west teams, unlike the big 10 west where they did beat the top teams from the East!

You're Missouri, there is no up swing! It's OK you're in the SEC so you got hoops yet...oh yeah you're worse at that! Iowa played Tennessee last, they didn't want to be there! (Sound familiar) They lost by a TD against LSU, something Mizzou has never done! Since 2004 Iowa is 3-3 against the $EC!

Well there is always next year! I love how you schedule the powers of the Big Ten, first Indiana (I know Mizzou didn't take them seriously) and now you are playing Purdue! Hell this year I would take Purdue because they can find the end zone after warm ups!
