First up, Lee's Summit West #12 in C6, who beat Staley 40-0. And who played Blue Springs, Lee's Summit North and Ray-Pec to within 7 points.

Then the winner of Rockhurst #7 in C6 (who handled CBC easily) and Lee's Summit. #17.

Get through that, and then you have the winner of the Ray-Pec #6 and #5 Park Hill bracket. The bracket that also has #11 Lee's Summit North and #16 Liberty.

Win, and do you have so many players injured and worn out, that you have not much left for the sems?

I'm guessing Liberty North will not survive.

I have observations on all 8. I’ll go in order.
1. LN: they are probably the most all around team. Very good defense, and probably one of the better QB’s in the district. Van Dyne is a very good player.
2. PH: best defense in the district. So many good players on that side of the ball. It’s all about the QB play, if Hall plays well, then they have a shot. Noel is so good they have a legit chance to make a run.
3. RP: very good defense, looks to have found some offense recently with Shanklin, Grimm and Hawley. They are probably one of the favorites in this district.
4. Rock: seem to have been finding there stride with a backup QB. Have a good defense as well. May give LN a scare in that game. If they get there. Keep and eye on the Hawklets.
5. LS: very good offense, arguably the best in the district. Defense is shaky. Can they get by Rock? Maybe but doubtful.
6. LSN: they are a weird case. Defense is good, and have Keyon Mozee. What’s up with them? They can make some noise, if they can figure out what’s going on.
7. Liberty: not a ton of offense outside Wentric Williams. Solid defense, got a tough draw with PH is opener. Will struggle.
8. LSW: not your normal 8 seed. Going to test LN in this game. Going to be a fun Friday night in Liberty. Sammy Cooper is a good athlete at QB see if he can get going against LN.

Provided form holds that Rock at Liberty North semi would be among the most exciting, intriguing games in any class this year! I don't care what the weather may be come that Friday I am THERE.

Between that semi and a possible PH/RP rematch might be an outstanding Friday night of football in KC area

Class 5 all but one KC district semi is already set: best of the bunch is PH South at NKC. Class 4 "should" be a pair of interesting Sub Blue rematches especially Smithville at Platte County. Grandview and Grain Valley should pretty easily rematch in District 7.

You can say stuff like "oh those games were years ago" but Jones has always had trouble with LS West. I couldn't quite put it in Playoff Challenge but it was one I sure thought about..............

I really think that if LN looks past LSW at all, they will not win. LSW very well could pull this upset. Like I said, they aren’t your normal 8 seed. It’s going to be very fun to see this district play out over the next 3 weeks. Ray-Pec is the dangerous team in this. Seems like they’ve found something offensively and their defense is very good to boot.

Class 6 is in KC is big time. Sad we eat out own every year due to terrible MHS playoff system

Lsw may be the best 8 seed of all time . And while I think joplin will win ....a 2 win Jeff City team may be the 3rd best team they have seen this year

I agree. I'm sure they would rather play #7 Kickapoo. If you look at Jeff City's schedule, they have played some tough teams this year. They played Rockhurst pretty close recently.

Cold and crappy weather, and LN relies on a pocket passer? Hmmmm.

Care to take a stab at ranking the best chance to win? Not necessarily the best teams top to bottom, but if you had to list in order of who has best chance to win it. Mine...
1. Park Hill
2. Liberty North
3. Rock
4. Ray-Pec
5. LSW
6. LSN
7. Liberty
8. Lee's Summit

I swear, if any of my 1-6 win, I wouldn't be shocked.

I won't even take a guess. Weather, injuries, bad luck, good luck, the wind, rain, snow, random chance...too difficult to predict. Liberty North handled PH 24-3, so I would have to stick with LN. But of course, Rock might just walk in and win it.

Liberty North may just run buck sweep all night.

I would pick them or Rock or possibly Ray Pec to win it. PH is too undisciplined, same for LSN. Lee’s Summit, Liberty, and Lee’s Summit West just don’t have the talent.

Tomorrow night, I will be broadcasting Liberty at Park Hill on 810varsity.com for those interested. Whether you are at a different game or at home give us a watch on there. Should be a good game. Free to watch. Check us out
