Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't there a physical altercation between the two? Are you certain the gun didn't save her life?Originally posted by Duck_walk:
One of my former students was shot and killed this weekend. It was on the Stl news.
They lived west of stl. Around 7:00pm, his wife posted on facebook how wonderful her husband and family
were. A couple hours later there was an argument and he was dead.
Having a hand gun in your home does not keep you safe.
That doesn't matter. I'm sure she had a beating coming to her.Originally posted by Drop.Tine:

That would mean the gun was an asset.....that's not possible!Originally posted by Drop.Tine:

Sounds like she was trying to convince herself of that.Originally posted by Duck_walk:

Proximity means a lot. Most everything you mentioned requires you to be closer to the victim then is necessary with as gun. I own several handguns, rifles, and shotguns, but I'm not afraid that the government is ever going to come and take them away from me. In fact the thought never enters my mind until I read some ignorant post.Originally posted by PeabodyandSherman:
"Having a gun in your home is a dangerous thing to do." Seriously? How quaint. Having a claw hammer, an ice pick, a butcher knife, a razor, even a bookend and any number of deadly weapons at your disposal, including a little league baseball bat, is dangerous at home. Lets all get some first grade scissors, some Elmers glue and sing a little song and all get along. SMH. People who want to murder some one will find a way, guns or no guns. Get real.
Yet you were citing this crazy womans facebook post as evidence their family was great without that darn gun ruining it.Originally posted by Duck_walk:
By both of you. Her first husband told a relative of mine the
woman is nuts. This is her third husband at age 27.
She is charged with murder. Evidence does not match
her story.
If so, I apologize. It sure didn't read that way to me.Originally posted by Duck_walk:
I mentioned the facebook post to demonstrate how
quickly something can escalate to a killing when
a gun is readily available.
