Why was Kozma playing?????

Thru freak luck Kozmo had hit 7 or 800 off of Kershaw in limited matchups and that's the only reason he is on the roster. They needed another rh pinch hitter last night. Poor planning by MO-theny.

Wong is young and looks like he is going to be an asset, but once again he made a bonehead play that cost the Birds in the playoffs. Those things count and Kosmo is better than you give him credit for. He has helped the Birds win some playoff games and Wong has not. In fact one could argue that Wong has played a role in losing 2 playoff games in very few tries. In Matheny we should trust!! Go Birds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really the only mistake Wong made was trying to tag him at all once he stopped him in the baseline. If he make the throw to first they would have gotten him easily on a tag play.
Had the ump not blown the call the Cards would have gotten him anyway on a tag play.
Kozma had the week of his life a couple years ago and I doubt he'll have another anytime soon.

So a guy goes 0-4 and he is toast but your boy can get picked off a base and screw up a double play, but that is ok. Without Kosmo past performance the Birds would not have advanced. Can't have it both ways. I hope Kosmo gets the nod tonight over Wong.
So you are saying that Matheny and Mo have been wrong all year and kosma should have been our second baseman? Did u play a girl on JV all year and then suddenly start her in the district championship game? A 21 year old kid got picked off last year so lets hold it against him and let a freakin JV player hit the field? Come on man.
To answer your question yes on more than one occasion. It does happen players get better get worst as seasons move along and Wong has not been anything but average for the last 2 to 3 weeks and Kosmos track record in the playoffs matches anything that Wong has done! By your logic Ducky Grichuk should not be playing over Taveras or Bourjos because he spent more time in the minors.
I require you to look in the mirror and say this 10X daily. There is NO FREAKING WAY, in any universe, Koz should play in front of Wong. Just none. Dude adds too much to an anemic offense to not be in there.
Atta boy...now I'm prepping myself for him to go 0-4 with an error or two. Seems every time I talk good about him or OT, they remind why I shouldn't do that!
