Why does anybody still play football?

This article highlights what is wrong with our society. It speaks very little to nothing about the life lessons and toughness traits that can be learned or acquired while playing football that can not be acquired in other sports. It pretends that the only people playing football are the ones to dumb to do anything else and that the coaches don't care about what happens to the players. It also fails to mention that while it is devastating that 7 young men have died this year, that is down from the average that is 12. It says

"Are those who take the field in the NCAA, exploited for billions of dollars in television revenue while working in a state of indentured servitude"

If by indentured servitude you mean, the best training facilities, free access to world class trainers and dietitians. If that includes free tuition to prepare them for a job after college that many of us go into debt to get. If you mean basically a free job interview every Saturday when they are on TV allowing potential employers can watch and evaluate them. Free rehab from injuries, a place to stay and travel across the country....then yes but how many of us would willingly sign up for that "indentured servitude"

Bush-era chickenhawks. - What is that?

This article is obviously written by a person on the far left who has no understanding of what it real means to these people who play football at any level.
