Why do YOU think they pitched Wacha tonight?

I believe they pitched him tonight to save face for making the same mistake two years in a row of handcuffing themselves by carrying a pitcher they weren't going to use. If you believe otherwise, then why not use him yesterday when they needed long relief in a big way? The brass read the comments all over the internet of their fans and were feeling the heat.

Great coaches/managers put their players and teams in the best possible position to succeed. 20 days off and then pitching in the last inning of an elimination game is not fair to a great young kid. On top of that it ruins his career NLCS stats which were awesome before tonight.

Part of me also believes that once Yadi got hurt, the management may have not really wanted to play the Royals running game.
Choate must go. Your relief pitcher should not look shocked when he gets someone out.

You aren't going to get a good reason because there isn't one. They are right and everyone else is wrong LOL. The results were predictable.

Wacha deserved better than this, as did the rest of the team that played with a lot of heart.
