Didn't really address Lyons or Villanueva on the broadcast, just that they had shut down Cooney. Truthfully though, I'd just as soon see Marco as those two.I'm a big Marco fan. But the dude has not bounced back from his injuries. His numbers at Memphis were not good at all. I really don't know why they started him tonight. Cooney has been shut down. Why not Lyons or Villanueva?
BFIBs!!! Where's Joe Strauss when you need him?And yes, the greatest fans in baseball booed when Reynolds was HBP with the bases loaded showing once again they are NOT the most knowledgeable fans in the league.

That has nothing to do with it. The BFIB don't like seeing their guys get hit and were also disappointed Reynolds didn't get to swing the bat.And yes, the greatest fans in baseball booed when Reynolds was HBP with the bases loaded showing once again they are NOT the most knowledgeable fans in the league.
Most certainly don't need any more injuries and Reynolds did leave the game later. Where he got hit a dangerous place with little bones that break easily. That has nothing to do with it. The BFIB don't like seeing their guys get hit and were also disappointed Reynolds didn't get to swing the bat.
Shouldn't be surprised IF they pull it out. They have 33 come from behind wins this season. Thats more than 1/3 of their win total. The last couple of years they just couldn't win if they got down. Now they've tied it up but Peralta's hitting with RISP is just ugly, inning over.If they find a way to win this game tonight I will be amazed, but I have learned to never count them out!
Dude you are a real hard case. The offense, which has been your big complaint all season, has come alive and you're still not happy. Now 34 comeback wins. This one with 2 outs in the 9th, two farm hands on base and a bat they traded for pulling it out. This is a good team, get over it!This team looks like it will win 100 games. I'm not sure what that says about the NL.
The nationals are playing awful.

I do, but they have had many of those in the late innings this season. Not something we saw much of the last couple of years, not even when they got behind early and they still made the playoffs. This crew just don't let up.Why are you such a hard case with Peralta?
This is a good team. You must hate STL right???
you do realize that if a team scores a run in the top of the first and then the cardinals score 9 runs in the bottom of the first, then the final score is 9-8, they label that as a "come from behind" victory for STL? Not a real meaningful stat. If you are talking come from behind in the last 3 or 4 innings, that is a bit more meaningful.
Good thing the wins he helped get in the first half of the season count toward the win total for the year.I do, but they have had many of those in the late innings this season. As far as Peralta goes the dude has NOT been a big RBI guy since the break an that's what he was brought here for. He certainly helped them get off to good start, but not so much from him lately.
This team is so freaking fun to watch...and so frustrating too. Just about the time I want to send the remote flying over all the missed chances last night with runners on...Moss finally decides to not just scrape the wall with one. Goodness. Sorta has that 2011 feel going on right now. For the record, Moss has taken some pretty solid ABs the last 10 games or so. Hope he keeps that up!If they find a way to win this game tonight I will be amazed, but I have learned to never count them out!
I loved the shot of the bench giving him the weight lifting gestures after the one off the wall and then him cracking up about it standing on 2B. Guess he muscled up in the next couple innings. That walkoff was a no doubt bomb. Hopefully he's settled in now and keeps it going for another couple months. This team is so freaking fun to watch...and so frustrating too. That was FUNNY. Had me cracking up too. Those guys seem to be able to keep it loose, but not too loose. Probably important over the long haul. Probably a tad easier to do when you're 40 games over too. I do remember thinking on that one that Moss can't catch a break though. Had a couple in San Fran that were hammered. The one off the stupid part of that jutted out part in RCF and the one that turned the CF'er around come to mind. I think he hit the top of the LCF wall in that series too.I loved the shot of the bench giving him the weight lifting gestures after the one off the wall and then him cracking up about it standing on 2B. Yes sir they all count, even those against teams that aren't playing very well and those not in the division. This bunch just keeps it going, if a pitcher has bad start they pick him up too. You know the Pirates are thinking "any other year we would be running away the the NL Central with this record." Has to be frustrating.Good thing the wins he helped get in the first half of the season count toward the win total for the year.
