Let Freedom Ring !!! Was that from a NYtimes piece? I suspect it was..... was data actually collected or was that Just LEO Opinions. They will run out data that if you include accidental shooting and Suicide in Texas overall numbers that it's Greater than Illini homicide rates. WOW just WOW with the skewing of the Data.

Really cars are not part of the Constitution....again you seem to not understand basic civics. And you hope I'm smarter in life? Driving a car is a privilege granted by the govt that comes with restrictions.
Owning and Possessing a Fire Arm and Ammunition is a God Given Human Right per the 2nd Amendment and that right shall not be infringed upon. Self Defense and protection of one's self and Family should not be hindered by the Govt. or it's paid Gestapo.
The Founding fathers thought so highly of this Fundamental right they made it the Second Amendment to the Constitution. NO mention of the Right to Ride a Horse or Drive a Buggy(that would be the equivalent of a car from that era) in that document.......So your analogy is clearly not valid.
It's obvious that you have been indoctrinated into the authoritarian mindset that Laws and Regulations can and should be used to oppress the rights of individuals so you and others can have some Emotional belief you are safer and protected.
I fully support your right to want to oppress others and take away their rights. I'm just glad the Founding Fathers had the foresight to craft a Document of Laws that didn't allow the Majority of Citizens to infringe and Control the inalienable rights of others. Wise men. I'm sure you dislike them like your party does.

You really should STOP with the "God given right" thang. They had no idea what a gun was back in the days of Jesus and I'm pretty sure their is no mention guns in the bible.
I really don't have to stop with the GOD GIVEN RIGHT THANG........ God gave us the right to Defend our person and family. Just because Guns where not invented when the Bible was Written has no bearing on the Subject at all. Swords, Spears, Bow/Arrow's,Clubs etc. where used for self defense at that time the most lethal and advanced arms possible. Do you really think God would want a person to not use the Safest and most effective means possible to defend a person's Life and the life's of one's family?

So if you believe that the Bible was literally spoken to the Writers by God/Jesus then while the human writers where not given that information or if they was they hand no frame of reference... That is why they where not mentioned.
But the fact still remains God/Jesus knew those better forms of protection where coming in time. The fact that the bible made no mention of Future technological advancements of any form doesn't take away the God Given RIGHT TO USE THEM.

You Choose your God....... or not... Natura Law works as well for me..... I have as you do the inalienable right to Freedom and Defense of myself and my Family by what ever means the Constitution/Bill of Rights affords.
I have zero issue with Teenagers having access to Guns so that they can protect themselves, go hunting or target practicing......They have access to cars which decapitate and rip arms off daily guns are no different other than they are a RIGHT PER THE BILL OF RIGHTS!!!!
It is Called Freedom...... And access was granted by the second amendment. That is where my Rights come from and those Rights clearly was fashioned by the Founding Fathers based on Natural Law and The Belief in the God given Rights of all men. You do realize that the Framers believed that people had the Right to posses Arms to protect themselves based on GOD/Natural LAW or whatever form you want to ascribe to. I tend to use GOD as that what a huge portion of America identifies with.

I have stated on this board before I don't believe the Bible is literal....... and I'm not a fan of organized religion per say because religion in all forms is weaponized by those in power to do things that benefit them....although through out history it has also instilled some of the very values that many people seem to love to virtue signal about all the time....... I'd say the very concern you APPEAR to have for people getting their arms blown off by a common self defense weapons is a by product of those religious values that run through out this country.
I myself don't ascribe to the I'm My Brothers Keeper Religious BS..... ... I do ascribe to Free Will and the Right to exercise that free will within the law of the Land. And per the Constitution/Bill of Rights Bearing Arms and the Govt not infringing on that right is one of them.

What logic is there behind Democratic Gun Control....... We know around 13,000 deaths from firearms occur yearly a Statistical Zero in the things that kill, the chance of dying by gun 1-221, mass shooting 1-300+, we know that Law Abiding Citizens don't commit crimes but oppressive gun laws infringe on their right to possess the means of self defense, we know Criminals don't respect or follow the thousand or more gun laws across the nation the stats show that. We know that the 2A was not put in place for HUNTING but self defense. We know all the Measures that Dem's put in place over the years even according to their own data have had no statistical effect on gun violence but per the Obama CDC study it has helped in Self Defense in over a million instances a year.
So yeah our point is easily defended...... All your side can do is talk about the Carnage and use Sensational emotional plea's to circumvent the Bill of Rights.
I've Posted the Data before........ none of you address it. Good Gosh I even posted how one study tried to skew the data and say Texas had more gun violence by counting their suicides but not Illinois!!
So if the Data/Facts don't line up then it has to be a emotional driven desire to want to try and ban weapons, Ammo and the amount of Rounds per mag. There is no logical reason to do so because those measures will not help.
Might even make things worse....
