Some Lutheran North players picking up some offers the past couple of days.

LN on defense:
DE- Oklahoma bound Senior
DT- Oklahoma offer yesterday as Soph
DE- Florida and other PF offers as Soph
LB- multiple D1 offers as Junior
LB- Bowling Green bound Senior
LB- Arkansas St bound Senior

That's six D1 players in their box on a class 2 team, and that doesn't even include their two stud Class 5 and 4 transfers this year that play QB and RB.

How is Lamar's line/backers this year compared to years past? Is this their toughest matchup in their 6 year run?

Yes it will be. Besides maybe Blair Oaks in 2012.
Our lines are good/great. We defend the run well.
We don’t have college recruiters at our games though.

Trinity Catholic lost on both lines last year with D1 recruits. So I can’t quite tell ya who will win the line battle.

LN is really talented on defense, but it’s OL is young. Start two ninth graders and a tenth grader.

I predicted Lamar by two TDs a few weeks ago, but the Ava score worries me. Who knows. As someone who doesn’t have a rooting interest in either team I hope it’s a good game.

Anyone making the drive needs to plan on being there a couple hours early. The traffic in and around LN and the parking is a cluster F. If you’re up for a brisk walk there is a shopping center about a mile away where you can park and walk to the field. Don’t park in the apartment complex across the street or you’ll get towed.

Thank you sir.
Ava was a lot better than anyone thought. They were defiantly a top 4 team in the state by far in class 2. Much respect for the bears. Don’t let the score scare you that much.

I fear Lamar will have trouble mustering offense; their defense should hold up just fine under normal circumstances, but they will find it hard late if Lamar’s offense can’t sustain drives...

Yeah.....that’s a definite possibility. Let’s hope for the best San. Ugh

How in the hell can a class 2 have that many D1 recruits without recruiting

Everyone except (Crusader 2 and mshsaa - NOTE- not caps due to lack of respect for them ) acknowledge they recruit !! D1 college recruiting officers must of opened an office between Trinity and L N schools !!;)

Not saying it won't make a huge difference but this is high school. Cool and congrats on all the D1 players but as the little hick towns of WEBB CITY and LAMAR have shown, sometimes the love of your brother and your town are bigger than all the studs you face going off to college. Still the champ till you beat the champ, ROLL TIGER.. Lamar 27 LN 20.

That might be so but this is not the Trinity team of last year with a bunch of talented, but apparently undisciplined Sophs. Lamar can win and keep the streak alive but they are going to need a couple turnovers. I hope I’m wrong but I think Lamar had their hands full today.

Lutheran isn’t more disaplined than Trinity. They make a lot of mistakes. But yes it will be a game for sure. Kinda nervous even with knowing that.

Last year Parkway North had a potential D1 OL/DL man. Our best lineman out played him. He isn't playing college football. He was better that day. Five years down the road maybe not. But that day on a HS field when it counted he was.

Yea I watched RHCF's little brother neutralize a stud D1 lineman many years ago in the same way
