Who Pulled the Drain Plug at Mizzou?

Well Blackwell and 3 other players got cited for weed and were disciplined for it. 3 of the 4 players including Blackwell are transferring. She was Mizzou's best player.

Also, Blackwell came back from suspension to play in a crucial SEC tournament game but played only 11 minutes and didnt play in overtime. Mizzou lost. Not saying I personally agree or disagree with that, but that was probably the kicker for her. The coach said she didn't play more bc she had not practiced with the team for 7 days.

Blackwell is Mizzou’s most talented player I don’t know if she is their best player. Mizzou’s best 2 wins came when Blackwell didn’t play, South Carolina and Florida on the road.

I don’t know why Mizzou keeps Pingeton. She couldn’t get anything done when Sophia Cunningham was there and hasn’t accomplished anything with Blackwell and Frank, who were nationally touted at the time of their signing.

I have watched many of games and you can tell when women just do not get along. Blackwell, when scoring is a great teammate. When she is not, she is not very good teammate. The team did not gel together and did not like playing for each other. Some of that is not on the coach. Not sure what the answer is, but maybe bringing in a few new kids will help the chemistry

You hit the nail on the head. Blackwell was only a good teammate when things were going her way.

I don't know, it just seems with Pingeton we get a lot of promises but not much production considering the talent. I'm ready to move on. The other SEC teams that have been replacing coaches have gained on us and are leaving us in the dust. Or, we could just limp along and have our women's program be a train wreck like the men's. IDK, what does the board think?

They play such a soft schedule to win games early on and that hurts come NCAA selection time. From what I seen, we are just too slow in a lot of positions to compete at a high level. Not many can create their own shots. The one that is a true athlete, can not shoot and everyone backs off of her. Just my observation. Lack of speed really showed against Drake.

I agree, they play at a snails pace. Would benefit from trying to play in transition offensively. Their kryptonite is teams who shoot the 3 well because they over help and give up too many strong side kick out 3’s.
